We enjoyed our stay at the NoMad. Pros: The rooms are big enough, the bathroom very clean and comfortable (although we didn't have a bath tube and no window). The interieur is very nice, french vintage style with interesting details. We definitely recommend it. Staff is friendly, but sometimes a little bit reserved. Subway in front of the hotel! Near flatiron district (Eataly!). Cons: The sight from our room was into the wall of the house. The entrance area is too dark, could be more friendly. No breakfast included for that price. The restaurant was very good, but a little bit too noisy and sophisticated. But we ate an excellent duck! Prices are a little bit too high as well. Something special.

Checked-in to the NoMAd late after the evening performance of the the NYC Ballet at Lincoln Center (easy 10 minute cab ride) and found a frenzy in the lobby filled with a mob waiting to get to the bar just a few steps away. Although the lobby is beautiful, having the bar crowd spill into the lobby was not inviting and undermined the elegance we expected to greet us. We stayed in the classic king room and found the bed luxurious, furniture tasteful but spartan. Nice bathroom with marble vanity and shower fixtures, but water spilled into room since there is no shower door. The room size for a NYC hotel was comfortable. Breakfast in the atrium was good and the wait staff pleasant although a little slow. The hotel is beautifully remodeled and has gorgeous public space, but it fell short on creating the warmth, extra personal service and amenities that would make us feel management carried about us returning. Next, maybe we'll try to check in early!

Stayed for a couple night during the opening month of the NoMad and enjoyed the style of the hotel. Had a corner room, high floor, spacious (NYC wise at least), quiet, and loved the setting and deco, not the usual cold and boring style. Everything was new and shiny, great big shower, cosy feeling overall that's not too common for hotel rooms. Staff was fine, nothing special that i recall. The bar, fireplace and library area are a great plus, very enjoyable. The location ain't my city's favorite but there's nothing wrong with it, quite convenient actually.
