Clean, check. Quiet, check. Good location, check. But odd rooms: no clock in the room, a desk lamp with no discernable switch, warn furniture and strange cabinetry that covered one whole wall and included hanging hooks and looked like it once closed shut but that was many years ago. Extra bed wedged between the main bed and the wall. Thermostat would not go below 74 degrees. Some staff very helpful, others didn't want to be interrupted. I expect more from Wyndham. I would not stay here again.

I would like to apologize for the inconvenience in the room. All you concerns could've been dealt with by my engineering department. The extra bed would've been removed, the clock is built into the night table and the light switch is next to the headboard. Those were very easy fixes that would've made your stay better. Thank you for your feedback.

This hotel was very conveniently located -- walking distance from Grand Central and Time Square, but away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were great. They were helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was fairly clean but is probably due for some renovations and maybe new furniture. We were fairly high up so the room was quiet. We stayed for a few nights. Overall, a positive, but no frills, experience.

The Wyndham Midtown 45 is in a great location. We were able to explore New York from here with alot of sites within walking distance. The room was good. No view from the room, but very comfortable. One complaint about the room is the coffee pot. It used special pods, not K-cups, and you couldn't find them anywhere. Only 2 decaf pods were provided by Wyndham. We were staying for a week so we bought a cheap coffee pot locally, to have coffee in the morning. And no room service was provided mid-week as we get in other Wyndhams as VIP members. The lobby is tiny and crowded. The service at check-in was frustrating to say the least. We waited about 3 hours after check-in time, before the room was ready. They did take our bags and store them, but there didn't seem to be anything they could do to speed things up. Wyndham has just taken over this hotel and hopefully will work out the little problems soon. But again, for us it was about location, and it was a great location, comfortable room, and a great trip.

It is thoroughly disappointing to learn when a guests' stay does not live up to their expectations in all ways and, despite the change on guestroom accommodations, you were not impressed at every turn. The coffee makers in the room are new and standard for Wyndham Resorts. We apologize and would like to reimburse you for the coffee maker you bought. It's our gold to satisfy you. Thank you for your feedback.

A wonderful addition to the Wyndham family. The bell staff and front desk staff made us feel like family. I brought my two beautiful daughters and my precious "sweet 16" year old for her "Sweet 16" birthday! The facilities are awesome, comfortable, spacious and "huge" for New York standards. We had a wonderful four days....and won't forget the perfect treatment we received at this "classy" home away from home! The renovation is perfect and the hide a bed couch was very comfortable!! As a visitor from the south the "warm" welcome we received from the staff was amazing! We felt like we were at home! The bar and restaurant area was so nice and so convenient. So many restaurants were within walking distance! Hope you have time to enjoy all they have to offer...my hat's off to a great vacation!

Room Tip: All are great!

The last time we ex-Bronxites were in NYC was when tokens were 15 cents. Fare is now $2.75.
The lobby was too small to handle people checking in while others while leaving.
The staff was very helpful, even after I sent Benjamin on a wild goose chase for a 'missing' bag.
They helped with all our 'tourist' questions too.
The room was large and clean. Bed was very comfortable.
We missed an overhead fan though.
Kitchen area was fine. Large refigerator/freezer too.
There is a 3rd elevator that just handles 1-10, while the other 2 handle all 33 floors.
As a Wynham owner we had access to the roof with it's comfortable seating and great views.
We thought the location was fine. We had no problem walking to Grand Central...and we're in our 70's.
Be sure to bring quarters for the buses, $2.50...half price for seniors though.
The Amish market is good. Just be prepared to pay almost double but 10% discount for seniors.
There are food carts, fruit carts, smoothie carts everywhere.
Everyone we asked directions from was very helpful. One man even looked up the Irish Hunger Memorial on his phone.
I'm sure everyone will go to the 9-11 site which is a direct ride from Grand Central but be sure to do other sites too. The train from there will take you to Yankee Stadium too. Great tour.
Battery Park City was amazing. Great for walking and seeing the river and more. The NY Police Memorial is along it.
One nearby bus goes directly to the piers and a short walk brings you to the Intrepid Air and Space Museum. You can tour a sub too.
We'd go back in a heartbeat as we were only there for 4 nights.

We booked here because we knew it had been recently renovated. No lobby to speak of and only 2 elevators. It was clean, however dishwasher had dirty dishes in it and we couldn't get door to close. Bed was very comfortable,so had a good night's sleep(stayed 4 nights). We loved the Amish market across the street for food, but otherwise the location was poor. We usually stay uptown near Central Park with more to do. The only thing close to here is Grand Central Station with the subway, but 4 blocks away.
