Even though we told our waiter that we had a show to catch, the food took a half hour to arrive. The food was tasty and well prepared, but my salad was way, way too salty (and I like salt). It was a pleasant lunch and my friends like their food a lot. One had the opened faced burger with avocado, bacon and an egg on top and loved it. Another had onion soup with mussels and really liked it.

We went to Ca Va after the theater last night in part because the kitchen is supposed to be open late. We arrived at 10:45 PM after walking 4 blocks in a downpour. . Although the restaurant was not crowded, we eventually (after 15 minutes) were able to flag down a busboy who took our order. We only ordered two glasses of wine and two mains. It took nearly 30 minutes to get our food, although the wine was brought out very quickly. The food was quite ordinary; nothing special. After we finished and were getting ready to leave, we learned that there was a lounge menu that no one offered us, even though other restaurant patrons were given that menu. The restaurant is the hotel restaurant for the Intercontinental. We did not appreciate that the staff was turning over the tables for breakfast while we were having dinner.

Ad the reviews and was hoping for a better experience. The atmosphere is nice, but th food was average at best. Our friends salmon was overcooked and my pork dish was too salty.

Went there on a recommendation. Will not take that recommendation again. Restaurant was located near Times Square. Thought it would be excellent for Mother's Day. Food was ok but the service staff was rude and pretentious. Could not order just given a buffet as a choice.

Dear Harvey:

We sincerely apologize that your brunch experience was not up to our standards. We offer a breakfast buffet until noon, at which time we switch to an a la carte Brunch option. We strive to offer the best in customer service, and we clearly missed the mark. We thank you for your feedback, which we will use to further improve our service. We do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, so that we may reaffirm your faith in our restaurant.

Warm regards,

Executive Office

This attractive restaurant in the Intercontinental Hotel has a nicely varied menu with interesting choices. The fare was delicious and beautifully presented, and not too pricey. Right in the theater district, it is a great choice for lunch or dinner when attending a show. I will return!
