I had a caesar salad which turned out to be a big mistake as it wasn't worth eating. The chicken was dry, the parmesan was not in flakes so it absorbed whatever there must have been of dressing in the salad. The only positive thing there is to say is that the croutons seemed to be homemade. My boyfriend on the other hand was really satisfied with his pizza diavola. The crust was good and the mozzarella was really tasty.

So to conclude, I would probably stick to their pizzas

We have eaten at the Miami Beach Fratelli numerous times and have always had great meals. Can't say the same for this UWS NY version. Service was poor....waiter didn't know the menu well and less so English . The pizza was mediocre, a real failing in NY where most street corner pizzerias are great. And the signature mozzarella tasted like it came from Seven-Eleven !

We have eaten here a number of times and always been impressed. The men who make the pizzas come from Naples on rotation and clearly know their job. But everything else we have tried has been excellent too - salads, lasagna, eggplant, pasta - and, of course buffala mozzarella, in which they specialize. There are great selections of reasonably (by restaurant standards) priced Italian wines. The whole feel of this place is authentic, low-keyed, southern Italian. The music is low and appropriate. A great addition to Manhattan's UWS. I wish the tables were just a bit bigger.

Was there during Sandy. The owner was a fantastic guy, warm and helpful, clearly loved in the neighborhood. He kept the place open, feeding us and keeping us warm throughout the storm, not gouging anyone and even apologizing when he ran out of some ingredients. The place was a true refuge from the storm, and my sincere thanks to the managers there. PS the food was also fantastic!
