“Loved the beautiful surroundings”

We enjoyed lunch at this beautiful victorian era restaurant. The quiche was quite good. Nothing outstanding but it was so lovely that it didn't matter.

“Beautiful setting for average fare”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 July 2014

The interior of Lillie's Victorian Establishment is a beautifully done...ultra-high tin ceilings, Victorian era style paintings, a beautiful oak bar, and a huge back-lit, stain glass fixture at the rear are merely some of the highlights. We went post-theater and had fairly standard dishes (shepherd's pie and fish and chips). Both dishes were ok. The shepherd's pie was very bland with very little meat and veggies. The fish and chips was better, but the portions of fish pretty small for the money. I've had better versions of both dishes at less expensive restaurants. That being said, the service was attentive and the ambiance nice. All things considered, it is a decent date spot for before/after theater, but if I go again, I will try appetizers or salads.

“Return visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

Waitress was good but had to leave due to her shift being finished, gave us another not so. Friendly.ordered the Lillie sampler with three choices, cheese sticks and spring rolls good.main course sautéed scallops don to a reasonable taste, Ruben Sandwich ,meat was dry outside, fatty on inside and bread was mushy.Would not recommend this platter. If Restaurant was busy I would understand, but a Sunday evening we were one of 8 couples in the restaurant so no excuses the staff really did not care of any complaints. Think before you go there.

“Just average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

Thought the description sounded interesting and was close to our hotel. It was average at best. Our waitress did try to make up for the several things that went wrong with a complimentary desert but it didn't. Probably won't return.

“Great Place for a drink and light snack before or after the show”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

We went there after the show, Book of Mormons, was blown away with the decor, high ceilings authentic Elizabethan decorations lots of old collectables.
Service was attentive without being over the top prices reasonable and good selections of beers, wines cocktails and spirits, had a real buzz about it plenty of after theatre goers. Went back couple days latter and enjoyed just as much. Would recommend.
