Perfect apartment - perfect location!

This is a great apartment in the perfect location. Right in the hear of East Village on a quite street within a 10 minute walk to the subway. The East Village is a wonderful location to stay on business or with a family. There are parks just about on every block and restaurants everywhere that are not super expensive. Great park just a block away to take a picnic or just hang out. Grocery and laundry and within a block for those wanted to stay longer. We were there with my son and it was just the right size and SO MUCH BETTER THAN A HOTEL! Eva was awesome and so easy to work with. Can't say enough good things except "look no further this is the vacation rental for you." Has every thing you need for a few days or extended stay.

If you are an ice cream lover - you have to try Mikey Like Ice Cream on Ave A - and excellent restaurant on the corner. Great Pizza half a block away.

We will be going back and have plans to stay here again.

Experience New York like a local

This apartment suited our needs perfectly as it is in a very ordinary neighbourhood, so we felt like locals for the week we were there. We were greeted on arrival and given loads of information about grocery stores and restaurants in the surrounding area. We ate out at a Serbian restaurant just around the corner the first night, and the next morning hopped on the subway which is about three streets away. The L (Brooklyn) line connects you with every other line in NYC. Many of the places you want to go you can actually walk to, including Greenwich Village an/High Line Park and Canal Street/Little Italy/Chinatown.

The apartment itself was New York tiny but fantastic clean and neat and it had everything we needed. Hot water was great and plentiful, a good sized refrigerator and the bed was comfy. There are two air conditioners, which are definitely needed in New York in June. The owner had left coffee and about three different ways to make it, and a block of Lindt chocolate - a nice touch. It was nice to come home each night and pop the TV on and feel like we were home for a while.

The apartment has no laundry facilities but there is a 24 hour laundry just down the road.

We were on a late flight so the owner very kindly let us stay till 2pm on the day of our departure.

Despite its ground floor location, the apartment is reasonably quiet. There was some noise from neighbours walking past in the hallway but nothing intolerable.

We had a few problems with the wifi dropping out, fortunately my husband was able to fix it so we didn't need to call for help. The only other downside was that we could not find an iron for the whole time we were there, despite being assured their was one.

Comfortable stay, fun location

Thanks to Eva for a wonderful apartment in a great spot. This apartment in Alphabet City was comfortable and had everything we required. Amazing restaurants and bars were all within easy walking distance and there is great coffee at Ninth Street Coffee (two locations within two blocks!). Highly recommend this location!

Responsive Service, Easy Booking, Comfortable apartment, Interesting Location

Right from my first communication with Eva Margaret everything went very smoothly. She replied to messages quickly, payments via Trip Advisor/Flipkey were easy, fast & apparently backed by their guarantee, which was reassuring. The apartment was clean & comfortable. I was also pleased with the good quality kitchen fittings, sheets & towels. I slept in both the bed and sofa bed during the stay. The bed was very comfortable & while the sofa bed was firmer, it was also comfortable. The TV didn't work for some of my stay but Eva Margaret went out if her way to have this rectified & had it working for the second half of my sojourn. Like many New York apartments there are only windows in the living room so the bedroom & bathroom are darker but that is no impediment. The ceilings are high & the apartment feels spacious especially as the furnishings are minimalist & in monochrome colours. The location is relatively quiet for New York, although I always use earplugs at night to ensure undisturbed sleep & close to the lower east side for a more varied holiday experience. The apartment is on the ground floor & only a few steps up to the entrance. There are good restaurants & the subway on E 14th Street which is only a 10+ minute walk away. All in all, this apartment is comfortable, the East Village is interesting & Eva Margaret is lovely, helpful & always available by SMS or phone. She was like an old friend from the first moment, even walking with me to the organic market on my arrival so I could purchase some basic supplies that first evening. Only 2 things would have made it a more comfortable stay - a toaster & an ironing board. Highly recommend.

My partner & I stayed 7 extremely cold nights in NYC. We always came home to a warm apartment fully equipped with everything we needed. Margaret was very prompt to reply to email correspondence as we didn't have an American number, making the whole trip an easy transaction. We caught the subway daily from a stop about 2 blocks away. There are plenty of restaurants and bars around the apartment in the East Village area as well as convenience stores. We loved our stay & would return, thank you! :)

Thank you for being a great guest! I have installed a different blind on the window next to the bed so the bedroom should be dark now.
