“Neighborhood gem”
Reviewed 6 May 2014 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

The service at Comodo was very attentive and friendly, while the food was excellent. Ajiaco was not on the menu unfortunately, but the steak I had was great.

“Cosy and romantic”
Reviewed 20 April 2014 via mobile

Classic Soho gem - small place with cozy atmosphere. Surprisingly quiet even though the windows were open. Menu is simple but with interesting twists on classic cuisine .... But the main attraction is that you feel at home :)

“Amazingt experience”
Reviewed 12 February 2014 via mobile

We did not know what to expect and it was way above our expectations. The combination of ingredients made this a great meal, every dish had a great touch of that Latin flare that the chef has, from every place that he has lived at. The lamb sliders were amazing, the steak one of the best pieces of meat that we have ever tasted, first quality at it's best (Peter Luger quality). I Highly recommend this place, it is a growing chef. Can't wait to try his new restaurant in Brooklyn.

“Outstanding fare”

Refreshing, new food ideas without prepared pretension. Inviting atmosphere with an esoteric wine list; terrific staff.

“Latin home cooking and hospitality”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

Comodo is hidden away in the middle of McDougal street in soho but once your there looking out its large bay windows over your freshly made cafe, you feel like your in a latin home, and all is muy comodo- very comfortable. Beyond atmosphere, the menu boasts a blend of Spanish, Colombian, Mexican, and the occasional Brazilian dishes that means your never bored. I have done brunch and dinner here numerous times and am never bored. The chef owner Felipe is always willing to swing by the table to discuss the menu, the world, or just to offer a friendly smile making the place feel all more yours. The most notable item for me however is the 7 pound cake. It is a rich but satiating coconut cake with a savory toasted cheese topping that will keep you coming back! It also comes with a great naming story - just ask Felipe.
