We had an unforgettable stay at the Refinery New York. Recommended to us by friends we tested it for the first time - and will never stay anywhere else in the future. The rooms, the food, the location are all wonderful - but the staff really makes the difference. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and we have never encountered such a high level of service anywhere else in the city. Especially Bassim, Albert and Basha treated us in such a professional and courteous way and we cannot thank them enough! Thanks to the whole team of the Refinery we had the perfect vacation and will surely (!) be back!!!

We stayed here for our trip to New York last November. This hotel is amazing and I would recommend it to everyone.
We travelled from Australia and all of the staff were so accommodating and really helpful in giving directions and advice.
My (then) boyfriend also had a lot of help from the staff as he planned a proposal on the rooftop terrace. He said they were all fantastic and helped him in anyway they could. A special thanks to Mimi who was his wing women in planning the whole night. They made the night so special and we wil never forget it.
Can't wait to return for a honeymoon!!

My wife & I choose the Refinery randomly and we were very impressed. Two blocks off Times Square, this is the perfect location and the service was excellent throughout our stay. We took the suite on the 12 floor and it was beautiful. I have been to New York many times in the last 30 years and to many different hotels all over the city but this one has something special. Obviously this hotel is very detail oriented and it shows. The terrace on the roof top is amazing, the bar at lobby level is also very nice and the decoration & furniture reminds me of Barcelona, Spain when we were there 3 years ago. I would recommend it to anyone willing to have a great gothic style hotel experience in New York.

We traveled to New York for the weekend so I could find my dream wedding dress, and this was the perfect hotel! The location was perfect, the staff was amazing, and the restaurant located inside (Parker and Quinn) was delicious, especially the breakfast! Upon arrival we were greeted promptly by Basha, who helped us unload our baggage and then brought it up to our room. He was very friendly and even made some recommendations of where to eat. All of the staff were very accommodating! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of places to walk to, one of our favorites was Time Square, which was pretty cool to be at during the evening hours, and several Irish pubs were in walking distance to the hotel, as well as Bond 45, which was a great restaurant!

" Keep smiling... it makes people wonder where you've been ".
This is the logo of the Refinery Hotel and it is so true.
My husband and I stayed for more than a week in the hotel and every day we were welcomed with a smile and felt like coming home. Special thanks to Asis for his kindness;
But what was really amazing was the help we got from Guest Service Manager Albert Almonte when our flight back home was unexpectedly cancelled and we couldn't reach anybody at Air France. Albert moved mountains to get us on a plane the next day and secured us a nice room for the extra night with a view on the Empire State Building. He even got us a table at the Rooftop Bar on a friday night. Thanks again Albert !
The Hotel is brand new , the rooms are light with dark wooden floor, large windows and high ceiling, large walk-in-shower and flat screen. There is no coffee machine in the room but free coffee in the lobby untill around 9am ( depended on the day , sometimes untill 8.45 sometimes untill 9.30 )
The Hotel is perfectly situated in the Garment District , two blocs from Bryant Park , very close to Broadway and in walking distance of the New York Public Library and Moma.
There are plenty of good restaurants in the neighboorhood. I recommend Koi and Keens.
Breakfast and diner in the hotel is good, especially if you like a large omelet or steak but we preferred " le pain quotidien " next to Bryant Park.
I can really recommand this hotel , especially for the high level of service and attention and I wil defenitely come back next time I will be in New York.

My husband, 2 teenage children and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We absolutely loved this place, it was within easy walking distance of Times Square and also Macys. The staff were so welcoming and incredibly efficient. We had one king bedroom and a double queen for our children. The double queen room was much bigger than the king, and both rooms were extremely well appointed with very comfortable beds. Bathrooms were immaculate too. The staff took care of our bags when we first arrived and also on our last day. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to book here again.

Nice boutique hotel in a spot a little away from most others which was welcomed. We enjoyed a drink at the rooftop restaurant and also had a quick breakfast in the bar/restaurant which was great (awesome waffles).

The only negative was at check in I asked for the front desk to call when our room was ready, but they did not call. We did enjoy a couple drinks at the bar/restaurant, but I could have used that 30 minute nap I was hoping for. When I stopped back over the front desk said the room was ready and had been ok to occupy for the last 45 minutes.

Overall, a very good experience.
