43W 24th Street (near Madison Square Park)
Chef: Erik Ramirez
Cuisine: Peruvian Kitchen and Pisco Bar
We had a good time at Raymi. The place is very nicely decorated and has a cool view over the cooking area. The food was also very good (even if it was a first time for me in a Peruvian Restaurant).
We ordered 2 cheviche dishes recommended by the waitress and then other 3 dishes all of them good (but I do not recall now what we had, it was one beef, one pork and something else ). We went for the recommended best-sellers and were not disappointed.
Good wine and overall a very enjoyable atmosphere. The setting is mostly modern but they combine some traditional design elements such as the small wooden windows wall. A + to the design of the restrooms area.
Food: 7 out of 10
Service: 8 out of 10
Decoration/Atmoshpere: 8 out of 10
Price: over 250$ for 2 px. (drinks and gratuity included)
Final comment: Raymi would be one of the places I would go back to when in NYC for a casual, good Peruvian influenced dinner.
