Owner description: You too can experience the privilege, respect and air of superiority enjoyed by millions who call themselves New Yorkers. But it requires training, even if you were born here. Let us show you how to develop the instincts for disdainful glances, peevish muttering and innate rudeness that distinguish true New Yorkers. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, the hilarious new comedy HOW 2 B A NEW YORKER shows audiences everything they ever needed to know about what it takes to be a real New Yorker, or at least not stand out as a tourist. Actors/Comedians and licensed NYC tour guides Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, take you on a whirlwind comedic romp filled with stories from the world's largest landfill in Staten Island to the home of the Bronx Bombers. All this, and lunch/dinner too!Full Italian lunch/dinner is catered by Sofia's Ristorante Italiano – a NYC tradition. Whether you're a local, transplant or tourist, HOW 2 B A NEW YORKER is fun for everyone!

We went to this two person show without really knowing what to expect. How pleasantly we were surprised when we sat through one of the best shows we have seen!!. A superb blend of comedy and education about NY City. We literally laughed from the beginning to the end. as a New Yorker I went into it a bit biased thinking how could they possible tell me something I already know about being a New Yorker? The packed audience consisted of many out of town visitors ( this event is a dinner/show combo and a gentleman form England sat at our table loved the show as well) The show was written and stared the pair of very talented duo and I have to admit they certainly work for their money- quick change for different skits and non stop comedy kept me interested in the show throughout it's entirety. My wife and I agreed that we will definately be coming back to see this show again and again... EXCELLENT!!

Upon arrival you will have a buffet style Italian dinner, with 2 styles of pasta, a chicken dish and salad. Great if you like a carb heavy meal. Following this a plate of brownies, chocolate chip cookies and sliced strawberries will be placed on your table to be shared as dessert. Drinks can be ordered from your waiter.

The 2 person show, which starts 1/2 an hour after dinner has so much potential and is funny in parts, but those parts need to be closer together to make it a great show that you want to talk about the next day!

Margaret is definitely much better than her co-star, and thank goodness for that, otherwise you would have people walking out within the first 30 minutes. This show needs direction and a re-write as it could be much better than it currently is!

This is one of the cheaper shows and was able to do a last minute booking. Best part is that it's a dinner and a show. Cost is $50 which is great. Food is a buffet Which had salad, pasta, and chicken. The show was funny and entertaining. If you are on a budget or have little or no time this is neat!

After spending 7 days in NYC we decided to see this show at Planet Hollywood. Both the comedians were fantastic...plenty of laughs and audience participation. Dinner was included.. Buffet style.. Not too bad but was there for the show. Reasonably priced for NY. Definitely recommend. Small and initiate theatre. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

There were a few laughs, but overall the show wasn't that funny. Maybe I expected too much but the show was vanilla at best. The buffet was average and the desserts were stale (three small chocolate chip cookies, three brownies and two pieces of chocolate cake). My last night in NYC and this act disappointed. Doors opened at 6 pm with the act to start at 7 pm, but they never came out until 7:45 pm. NYC was great, but this show needs a heart transplant.
