I LOVE THIS PLACE! I don't know where they get these giant yet deliciously scrumptious and juicy giant clams but they are shockingly consistent, and fortunately don't have a viagra effect the Chinese know about who have extinctified all of the giant clams in the Coral Sea because of their supposed erectile qualities. 24 Different kinds of Oysters pretty much every day. Sensational fresh baked focaccio and a reasonably priced excellent wine list. And the rest of the menu is persistently great also. Terrific service. Slightly noisy, but conversation fades when the food is served except for diners saying, "This is wonderful." I've brought friends from out of town there and they always want to go back, but space is sometimes a problem so make a reservation if you can.

Parking is tough in the area, but you can park on the street for free, after 6 pm. Worth it!

Great appetizers were mussel soup (had never tried this - GREAT). Warm octopus salad was very tender & tasty. Would order either one again.

Halibut, Bronzino and scallops were all first class - superbly cooked & seasoned.

Dessert were OK - mocca tiramisu was just OK; blueberry pie with ice cream was well worth eating.

Not inexpensive, but very reasonable

On a personal note, lines for the rest room might be long - only one stall for each

I am always worried in places like Soho that I will get suckered into a tourist trap restaurant - all name and disappointing substance. But Aquagrill was the real deal. The décor is dated, and kitschy, including an overabundance of seashells on artwork, overhead lamps, etc. But the service and food was outstanding. It is a bustling place on a weekend night, with close tables and lots of wait staff hustling by. But that wait staff is crisp and friendly, whisking away every plate as soon as you finish, refilling your waters and wine, and checking on you frequently. They seem to use a team approach, though you do have a main waiter/waitress. An appetizer of a spicy fish spring roll was great. Cocktail selections were interesting and well done. My wife had the branzino as prepared on the menu and I had the salmon, simply grilled; both were excellent. We had sides of steamed vegetables that were perfect. I am never much of a fan of outdoor seating in NYC because the sidewalks are so narrow and the trucks and busses so close by, and I would not choose the outdoor seating at Aquagrill on such a busy street (outdoor seating is on 6th Avenue, not Spring) despite its slightly raised, fenced in area.

Met husband in NYC for dinner as we do at least once a month. He wanted to try this place for a long time. Service was great by Colby. Avocado and lobster appetizer was just OK felt lobster overcooked. On the other hand Cod Cakes were terrific. I had the Wild King Salmon and it was very good but sauce was salty. Hubby had Black Bass and said it was delicious. Dessert was peach and blueberry cake with vanilla ice cream-great! Found the restaurant to be crowded and small and it was quite warm inside had to move to back to get cool. Would I go again, maybe but there are so many places in NY to eat I would try someplace else.

As I was here on business, I usually find going out of an evening slightly uncomfortable as a 'single'. However I was impressed by the attention and service received and totally enjoyed everything on offer. Would recommend without hesitation
