Arrived with a confirmed booking after walking 20 blocks, so soaked through, including pants!
Turns out I had booked for the following night by mistake. Duh!
The lovely man said not to worry, he would sort it out. ( I think he thought we were just mad and English for setting out).
He found up a table with lovely Indian waiters. Drinks were brought but my selection of oysters had to be changed for a better quality at the same price because of a shortage. My good lady had the sole en pappillote which was perfect(38$) and I had a sublime duck confit shepherds pie(30$).
With1 starter,1 pasta, 1 burger, the above, a reasonable bottle of wine and two puds, and one coffee the total was $313 plus tip . Not too noisy and the food was good but a lot to expensive for the food, same as most of NYC.

We arrived at the Restaurant soaking wet from a sudden torrential downpour looking like drowned rats only to find our booking had been made for the following night by mistake - no problem we were quickly guided to a table despite being really busy, our wet things were placed into bags even the umbrellas had sleeved to stop them dripping everywhere and suddenly we relaxed to peruse the menu / lots if choice for all the family, we ordered a burger, a pasta dish, Duck Confit Shepherds pie and the special of the day a sole en pappiotte with clams and roasted tomatoes - all was stunningly delicious, the only let down was dessert of profiteroles which had ice cream in the centre the pastry bring to hard and thick but it was a small issue- the restaurant could easily be in Paris and worth popping down the wonderfully worn wooden stairs to the bathrooms to see more of the character of the building- after starting the evening wet and uncomfortable our spirits were raised by the lovely meal and excellent service - sadly our last night otherwise would definitely have returned - not the cheapest at over $200 for 4 of us but we had a good bottle of wine and left happy.

One of my favorite French restaurants in NYC. Fun, casual bistro atmosphere with delicious food - amazing steak frites. Reservation a must. french toast there is amazing . And if you like dark chocolate, so is their hot chocolate.

The food was great and menu was very creative.
The decor of the restaurant was beautiful however there was not much space for each table and the noise level was pretty high.

We made a reservation for breakfast 2 wks in advance. I suggest you do that. The breakfast was very delicious. All 4 people we ordered different types of eggery. All were great. You must try the eggs. We also asked for a bread basket whicj came along with some butter and jam. It had various kinds of breads with nuts, raisins, chocolate, orange flavored etc. overall it was a great experience.
