We visited Crispo on a recent trip to New York, based on a recommendation. Our meal was excellent. For starters we had the Caprese Salad and a special appetizer with buffalo mozzarella and panelle. Both were excellent and I liked the unique take on a caprese salad. For our mains, we had the gnocchi verde and spaghetti & meatballs. I enjoyed every bite. I think that the chef did a good job of using great ingredients and keeping the recipes simple and delicious, rather than over-complicating a good thing. I like the ambiance of the restaurant, although we were close to the bar so there was a lot of people standing around waiting for their tables. The service was great, although our waiter was a busy guy and did not linger at the table a second longer than required. Next time, I'd love to sit on the patio.
