I've heard about this place for years and know this place is very hip and is really big with the brunch crowd. Happened to be in the area and decided to try it for the first time for dinner. I don't think there was anyone there, either eating or working, who was over the age of 30.
Service was very good, patient and timely. We never felt rushed.

Décor is very folksy. There's a very cute, working photo booth downstairs by the restrooms. There was no A/C in the restrooms, so they were stiflingly hot.

We tried the freshly baked flakey biscuits with butter and homemade strawberry jam. They were good. The house made organic ketchup was a bit bitter and needed more sugar. We wanted to order the brisket, but only fatty cuts were offered - it would be good if they could offer a lean option as well. We went with a burger and fries. The shoestring French fries were very good. The sautéed spinach was okay.

I also tried the Seasonal Vegetable Plate - consisting of asparagus, field greens, roasted baby carrots, garlic scapes and romanesco sauce. Despite being on the menu, there were no sugar snap peas on the plate. There were edible flowers included instead. The asparagus, carrots and romanesco sauce were good. I did not like the edible flowers and felt the field greens were too bitter. The vegetable plate was $24 and the burger (with added toppings) was $22. Hardly inexpensive for vegetable and a burger.

Not going to be rushing back. Maybe their brunch is better.

The decor was very interesting and the food was excellent. Great place to go for a tasty bite, although I haven't tried their brunch which I've heard is what they're most known for.

Bubby's really sucks you in when walking past with its very cool industrial chic interiors. The wall art and prints, the lighting, the awesome old fashioned water glasses and jug - its all very hipster cool.

The food portions are enormous, so definitely a place to go if you have an appetite. The food itself was rather disappointing in our view. Simple eggs benedict - one with smoked salmon and spinach, the other with bacon. We found the hollandaise sauce to be extremely sweet, almost like mayo was used - and so much so that we were scraping it off our food. The bacon was quite meaty and tough.

Very disappointing given how much we were looking forward to our food. We say someone have the panaceas, and we had immediate food envy. It looked great.

Went here for my last meal in nyc, it could not have been a better send-off. The atmosphere was really chilled out and if you go a floor lower they have a photo booth and other stuff. The staff was also really nice and not averse to the fact that they would have to entertain people at 5am. The food was expensive but the portions matched the price and i loved it.
