“Terrific Food, Festive Atmosphere with Tight Space”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

Great Italian food with attentive staff. Somehow the atmosphere overrides the tight space. You'll barely notice you're on top of the next table as the clientele is an interesting mix of locals, families and Internationals. Always a great place to go! You'll keep coming back for the food and fun.

“Best Italian in New York!”
Reviewed 24 June 2012

This is it for authentic Italian food in NYC. This is where the other Italian restaurant chefs dine. Real minestrone. Real pastas. Fabulous bass cooked over a wood fire. High value wine list. A bit crowded but always fun and cozy. No
attitude pleases a trendy crowd of local UESers, Brazilians and Italians.

“The game keeps up with the fame”
Reviewed 14 May 2012

If you have not experienced Upper East italian - then now is the moment. The food is exceptional, we had mushroom pizza and spaghetti with tomatoe sauce this Sunday and it was deliocious. The staff is amazing and very attentive with guests and their children. Service is impecable and I just can't rave enough about the small terrace that they have in front. It is such a great spot for people watching on a sunny day.

“The best tiramisu in the world!”
Reviewed 14 April 2012

The place has no pretentions, but they serve good and authentic italian food. We ate a burrata that was terrific, like the prosciuto. The focaccia and the calzone were very good, but what really worth the trip is the tiramisu, simply amazing, one of the best in NY and probably in the world.
