Description: Angus' Cafe Bistro is a one hundred-sixty seat, full-service eatery located in the heart of New York City's bustling Times Square. Given its proximity to several Broadway theaters, the pre-show dinner seating is the restaurant's busiest, but before or after is the time to take advantage of the restaurant's charm for either a relaxing lunch or dinner without the pressure of an impending curtain. Additionally, the restaurant offers several attractive features including a bargain prix fixe lunch menu, an irresistible late night snack menu and the house specialty: a porterhouse steak for two which includes unlimited wine by the glass if you order it after 8pm. Brunch is served all weekend long and private parties/special events of all shapes and sizes are willingly and expertly accommodated.

“Nothing special”

Nothing special really. We got there for a dinner with my family. The place is not comfortable and the ambiance poor... We ordered steaks and burgers and everything was average. I would not get there again.

“Warm, cozy and good food before a show.”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

In and out in an hour. Good drinks, tasty food and excellent service. Couldn't have asked for more in the heart of the Theatre District. Why wait in line for mediocrity at Guy's American Kitchen down the street when you can avoid the crowd and relax before or after a show. We'll go back.

“Great lunch in the theatre district!”
Reviewed 1 December 2013 via mobile

We had a large group at Angus for lunch prior to a Saturday Matinee. The menu had something for everyone from the All Day Breakfast to Chicken Pot Pie to Butter Milk Chicken. Every meal hit the mark although we missed out on the Scottish Pies which are brought in from outside. Service was great (thanks, Josh!) and w made the show with time to spare. You won't be disappointed.

“A good place to take the kids in the theatre district”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

We went here because the kids could get something they wanted to eat. Thank goodness for children's menus.
