Description: Cellini’s culinary style of chic simplicity produces a menu of astounding freshness and creativity. We began with a masterful rendition of cornmeal polenta wedges with masses of slivered shitake mushrooms and a calamari salad garnished with beans and scallions, each set off with a hot, homemade foccacia, augmented with sliced crusty Tuscan bread. We next chose panzotti-supple half moon pasta filled with fresh, crisp vegetables lightly bathed in a delicate porcini mushroom sauce. A unique tubular pasta stuffed with the freshest fish and spinach under a seasoned fish stock was enough to show us that each dish here has its own personality, and is densely concentrated with flavor.

I have been going to this Italian restaurant for business lunches for years, and it is consistently top notch. It is also convenient as a place to meet friends or business acquaintances for dinner. Others like its proximity to Fifth Avenue, Madison Avenue and the shops along 57th Street.

There is an upstairs room which can be reserved for a group which is nice.

This restaurant looks the part, and convinces new diners that the experience will be authentically Italian - but the menu lets it down. The food on offer is distinctly American-Italian, with over-cheesed lasagne and veal parm with tomato'd spaghetti, and missing some of the more traditional dished I'd hoped to find. Cheap-ish and cheerful, the service is very traditional but at least they kept the drinks coming.

Never visit New York without returning to this wonderful little Italian gem,
Food and service consistently good. Great Italian menu and great value in this part of Manhattan.
It is cozy and the ambience is elegant and typically Italian. A very special place!

I went on my way to the airport.

Service is excellent matched by the food.

The Breaded chicken was superb as was the pasta.

Highly recommended.
