We enjoyed the sandwiches. I loved the corn beef and pastrami. The meat was so tender. The pickles were great.

It's been around forever and draws lots of tourists -- and flies and other undesirable creatures. Not clean -- don't visit the restroom there and expect to be able to down your meal. Take a look, leave, and head uptown to 2nd Avenue Deli (now in the east thirties). Also, attracting a server is difficult.

I found out about this place from my cousin, and was a bit sceptic at first, but I was wrong... there are no words to describe the pastrami sandwich... served with best pickles I’ve ever eaten on the side, you don’t need anything else. Very nice for easy going lunch

Iconic spot. We knew it’d be manic but we just had to! It’s all a bit rough and ready but just what you’d expect and the food super tasty.

Katz’s Deli is the last best old school super delis since the untimely demise of Carnegie Deli in midtown last year. Katz’s is huge and busy all the time. When we were there the line moved quickly enough, and once in, there are more lines at the many carvers stations where fresh slabs of corned beef and pastrami, chicken, beef, and yes, chopped liver are turned into skyscraper high sandwiches. It’s worth the visit just to see the production. Great food, fantastic experience.
