This is my favorite pizza restaurant in NYC. I go there every time I visit the city - just can't get enough of the genuinely thin crust pizzas they serve! What I mean by thin crust is: pita bread chip thin and crispy, and Gruppo is the only place that makes this kind of crust. No other restaurants come even close. Granted, the pizzas aren't cheap, a 16" pie with 3 toppings cost $22-$24, but they are worth every penny. You can order the house specialty pizzas or choose your own toppings – they are all delicious! - and you’ll finish every last bit of these pies too, there will never be any excess pie rinds to leave behind. Non-vegetarians should try the Meat Lovers pie – pepperoni with sweet and spicy sausages – it’s the best! The restaurant is quite small so seating may not be the most comfortable or spacious but the food – they have nice salads too - definitely makes up for it (or you can order takeout – takes just 15 minutes to prepare while you wait).
