Description: As one of the best kept secrets in New York City, Gigino at Wagner Park offers a spectacular view of Lady Liberty and the New York Harbor. Owners Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez along with executive chef Luigi Celentano, have taken great pride in bringing Italian cuisine to Battery Park City for over 10 years. Nestled between the Ritz Carlton and the Statue of Liberty, Gigino can be found just a few steps south of The Jewish Heritage Museum. Open year round, Gigino at Wagner Park is a great place for a romantic evening or family get together.

We were lucky weather-wise and it was a warm sunny day that turned into a warm night. Watched the sunset and had wine with a group from a conference at a set of long tables out on the patio. Food was good, nothing spectacular but the setting overwhelms and it's what your senses are focused on. A small patch of grass nearby showcased kids & their families goofing off on a thursday night and it was neat seeing them enjoy a little bit of greenery.

Located at the tip of Manhattan (near the Ritz Carlton Hotel) the views are not to be missed. The food is very good but it is not the best Italian you can get in NYC. That said, you will likely not be disappointed with what you order. The bread was fresh and tasty. The appetizers and salads are very tasty. The main course offerings are quite varied and the ones we had at our table of 16 all were all well received. The patio seating was really outstanding *except* be careful if it is a warm sunny day to either wait for the sun to go down or bring a hat. Decent wine list too.

We went here on a very cold night in December. The food was great and the service was very nice. My husband accidentally spilled his red wine and two staff members were immediately there to help clean up and even moved us to the next table. The prices were good. We had our 6 year old daughter, and while they didn't have much for children to do (no crayons/paper) we brought our own coloring supplies and book. Wait staff was interactive to our daughter, too. I assume in warmer weather could be crowded since it has a very nice outdoor dining area and view of the Statue of Liberty. We walked over from the Ritz Carlton. Very close.

Food is great, wine is reasonable and good and the view is amazing. This is the perfect summer spot for relaxing after work or on a weekend afternoon/evening. Been going for at least 10 years - it never gets old.

The food is as excellent as the view; it's great in the summer and better in the winter; I wish I were there now.
