Range of Sangria is good, food VG but too dark and music too loud for a family get together with elderly guests.

Superb food, unusual flavours. Great service. We were so lucky to be staying in the hotel when the restaurant was based.

Very good and tasty food. I thought the clever "fusion" elements in the food worked very well. There were two stand-out dishes: carne and empanadas. The carne dish - with rice and truffle oil - was excellent. The lobster empanadas, made with corn flour, were cleaver and very tasty.

Service in the restaurant was not that great. It took us ages to attract a waiter but he was more interested in serving his Cuban customers. Basically, my take is that there is a different level of service if you are an anglo or asian.

Everything was first class, staff were great, food was delicious , got quite a shock when we went in as it stretches right under the hotel, the noise of people chattering made it feel good. The food you cannot fault, and very attractively set out and served very professionally.

Sundays are probably my favorite day of the week to go to calle ocho. During brunch you can go boozy if you'd like or not. The choice is yours. The same applies for dinners on Sundays. The dinner menu never ceases to leave me feeling so content and the portions are perfectly sized. I wish it wasn't located in a hotel lobby but it's still a surprisingly big restaurant. Definitely if you're going for brunch, try to make a reservation weeks in advance to guarantee entry!
