“Nice sandwich”

We tried the club sandwich here and it was very decent. Service accurate en swift. But not really good value for money, like almost everywhere in NY.

“Great for a dinner with friends”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2013

We were there on a busy Friday night with a crew of 4 and reserved the table online. The appetizers were absolutely perfect and the complementary bread itself is worth going there. I got the overnight roasted pork which comes with peaches and walnuts. I wasn't fully satisfied with the meat but overall I think it was a good composition. The others had the bass and pasta and said it was perfect. We had Manhattan cocktails which I can absolutely recommend if you know when to stop. They use a unique and refreshing recipe. We stayed 4 hours in total and had desserts too. We would definitely go again.

“Lovely spot in the West Village”

Great prix fixe menu at Good benefitting NO KID HUNGRY. The food was delicious and the service was very nice. Want to go back for Thanksgiving but would also go back with friends for the early dinner specials as well.

“Good food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2013

We dined here with our daughter on a recent visit to New York. The food was decent, but nothing special. Some of it did not seem very seasonal. The service was very slow and not very responsive. We asked for our daughter's burger to be cooked to medium and it was pretty rare. Way too long between courses. It shouldn't take 2 hours to eat on a Monday night when you arrive at 6pm.

“It's Good because It's Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2013

After several visits for dlinner, today was the first brunch at Good.

This is a small space (with sidewalk seating) that wastes not a square inch with table placement, but I have never felt squeezed, including today in a party of four.

Good is well known for brunch so our late reservation availability came as quite a surprise and treat. The greeting at the door was friendly and professional and our table was waiting with no stop required at the cozy bar.

Service was prompt and efficient. My advice to my brunch companions was to appreciate the nice, southern-style twists that characterize the menu here and to have a good culinary experience.

We were not disappointed. There are of course the usual brunch offerings, some incorporating the above-mentioned twists. Having already had a nice breakfast, my BLTM (for mozzarella) open sandwich was a more than sufficient plate with the bread deliciously enhanced by an ailoi sauce. The other mains at the table were similarly satisfying.

There is a good buzz here, with a characteristic mix of Village folk of all persuasions as well as day-trippers to the Village.

This is a neighborhood gem with legs, as it should be. Occasional repeat visits mandatory.
