Pre-dinner drinks and appetizers at the Reade Street Pub before dinner at Bouley ran the evening from one end of the cost spectrum to the other. The pub is basically a neighborhood Irish bar, with a bunch of locals, a decent beer selection and a good kitchen. We met our dinner company there, so that we wouldn't be taking up space at Bouley's small (and expensive) entry lounge. It was a good call. Drinks for four and a shared appetizer cost the equivalent of one bottle of sparkling water at Bouley.
