But that is part of what makes this place so great! Great food, great drinks and great people. Make sure that you dress up a little bit if you want to fit in.

“Checking the box”

We picked this restaurant to spend a romantic evening. Read all praising reviews, and decided to give a try. After one hour we decided that it's our first and last time. I have to say- service was super outstanding, the food was really disappointing. For $ 300 we spent there, we haven't enjoyed a single dish. Filet mignon was overcooked and bland like a shoe sole, venison was undercooked, and thankfully spicy hot sauce made up for the taste. Appetizers (tuna and avocado, and fig carpaccio) were also nothing interesting. Every sushi place has a better quality tuna, and fig carpaccio is just a sloshed figs spread on the plate with few crumbs of cheese. Desert was kind of more interesting: small bites of different things with pear theme.
Overall, not a place for foodies.

“Overpriced brunch”
Reviewed 15 October 2013 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

They require a tasting menu at brunch which is really too much food. The service was good though and the ambiance is really nice. Great place to take your mother in law to impress her with NYC fine dining.

“Autumn never tasted and looked so good.”

First off this place is expensive, but it is the park avenue nyc experience you are paying so no complaints there. This minute you walk into the restaurant you feel like you are in a whole new world you can find in nyc. The decor is very elegant and seasonal down to the staff on hand , hence the name. The staff is very attentive and professional and inviting. We reserved a table for three via open table and we were seated right on time. Do not expect to be seated early if you get there early the place is packed and busy. Not loud so you can carry a normal conversation with someone. We ordered appetizers entrées and 2 sides for the table. Although the portions are small if you eat slow and actually enjoy your food you ate full at the end if your adventure. Right now the menu is their "best of" autumn menu since they are moving their location elsewhere, I highly recommend the filet mignon with a Wellington streudel if you like steak... and if you go the chicken route they have perfectly cooked chicken with cranberries that is just so phenominal. The for the table portions are really small and are barely enough for 3 people with exception to their French fries which I think are your best option of them all. The maple Bacon app was good but you only get one thick cut slice a second would have actually been too much when you finish your meal. The gnocchi was fantastic my first gnocchi ever. All in all great restaurant worth every penny they charge. I would love to come back again during the other seasons as they change decor and food with the seasons but they will be moving soon so get in fast before the season ends..literally.

“Delicious food and good service”
Reviewed 5 October 2013 via mobile

This was our "splurge dinner" during a recent holiday and we got great value. The bread was fabulous - pumpkin bread, an onion roll, and some spicy flat bread. I had the roast chicken with pumpkin pie and my husband had the filet mignon and both were delicious. The broccoli with Cheetos was a fun (if somewhat unhealthy) side dish. The chocolate cube was the pick of the desserts - beautiful presentation and then delicious combination of chocolate textures inside the chocolate cube shell. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. They're moving somewhere at the end of the year - will be worth tracking them down, next time I'm in New York.
