This is my sister and brother-in-law's favorite Italian restaurant, and for very good reason: everything is very fresh and flavorful, using seasonal ingredients and preparations that are simple but inventive.

While eating out at some italian places can make you feel stuffed and a little greasy, I leave Basta Pasta feeling satisfied and happy with every bite. The portions are just right -- not too much or too little.

I had the pasta tossed tableside in a half-wheel of parmesan, and it was very delicious and cheesy without being too heavy.

Our server was friendly and respectful -- not snooty at all. The atmosphere is also bright and welcoming -- no dusty dark corners or loud, drunk tourists. All in all, always a pleasure to go here.

This restaurant is very unique from the setting of the dinning room ( kitchen in the actual dinning area), to the menu to the decor. The place is packed and tables are very close to each other. However, the food is of freshest ingredients and has some very unusual items on the menu. Be sure to try the spaghetti served in a 1/2 wheel of Parmesan cheese, we did! Highly recommend this place for a great dinning experience!

Loved the Uni pasta. Enjoyed the tableside presentation of the pasta finished in the massive half round of parmesan.

I went to eat at Pasta Basta with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful experience.
First the bread they brought to the table was very good, than we had the mozzarella salad which was divine! i had the Crespelle Con Funghi E Ricotta and my bf took the Fettuccine Alla Bolognese - both pastas were very well cooked and delicious. Highly recommended.
