Wow! Who would ever know that COAL-fired pizza is the way to go? Even in a city with so many great pizza places, this one stands out. Want fresh basil on your pizza? Don't bother ordering, as EVERY pizza gets it added and add the very very end so it does not scorch in the cauldron of pizza baking that is a coal-fired oven. Yes, they also do lasagne and other al forno dishes, but this place is about the serious pizza.

We had lunch here - wanted some authentic NYC pizza. We were seated with a view of the kitchen and loved it - I watched them make tons of pizza. The small pizza will serve 2 people with a slice or two left. The sauce was amazing. They were busy but service was good.

Unfortunately, this was the only pizza I had an opportunity to try in NYC. It was very good. Cooked in a coal-fired oven, the crust was slightly charred and delicious and the mozzarella was fresh. A little expensive for pizza though.

We had lunch at this restaurant. The service was good and our table was clean with a street view. We have ordered a Margareta pizza (17’’) which was a bit big for 2 people. I think it can feast 3-4 people. The pizza was delicious, however if you are a new frequent New York visitor you will know that is not the best pizza in town.

For the main course we had Sea Food Spaghetti and Spaghetti Pomodoro. Both were average.

The price is acceptable, as our invoice was $60. (excl. tip).

Staying with the family at the Parker Meredian and we tried out the pizza joint across the road. Gorgeous thin pizza from coal ovens at great prices. No need to go any further for our pizza fix. Best since Dolceaqua.
