I like to stay in Times Square when my NYC visits include taking in a play or two, as the traffic... getting taxi's, etc. is a nightmare when dealing with the theater. This new addition is an excellent choice. Very modern, new, hyatt with a lot of clean lines... excellent service. We had a suite... small, but well designed, so perfect (with fold out sleeper couch) for my wife and our 11 year old son. Excellent bedding.
Not many amenities... small lobby w/ very little seating, concierge desk (good, but not staffed with the pros that you get at higher end NYC hotels), heath club (very nice), roof top bar (nice, but small amount of seating).
As others have reported, elevators became a problem for us too. Was ok (not great) when both were working... but then one was out of service, so only had one working for part of our stay... was very frustrating as it took forever to get one and often was full. If they can keep the elevators working, and make sure the staff uses the freight elevator, would be better.
We liked the restaurant, T45 located off the lobby.More
