People watch at a Broadway-facing table over pad thai, sample some of the best rolls in the neighborhood at the 20-seat sushi bar, share assorted dim sum at a banquet and finish with a Dessert Bento Box. “Nice quiet environment in the midst of Times Square”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

The best thing about this restaurant is the calm, quiet environment in the midst of the craziness of Times Square. Food is good, service was fine, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Chinatown is better but this is a good alternative when you have a very hungry group and you just can't wait. Ask for a seat by the window and you can watch the scene.

“Shopping in New York and GREAT FOOD”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

We love Ruby Foo's. We try to visit New York either once or twice a year just for shopping. The past two visit we started going to Ruby Foo's and absolutely LOVE IT! Service is good, the food is delicious and we always have a nice meal. Appetizers, meal, and drinks did not break the bank for us either. This is the place to eat when your in Times Square.

Reviewed 9 November 2013 via mobile

Made table reservations for 545pm on line the night before . Called and confirmed an hour before no problems. Seated actually a bit early. The tuna and ribs appetizer was excellent . Got the chicken teriyaki and salmon wasabi and it was excellent . Service was right on point Second time there in 3 years. I would go back again.

“TOURIST TRAP!”
Reviewed 7 November 2013 via mobile

I should have known better than to visit a place so close to Times Square. The restaurant looked inviting but that was about it. Americans rather than Asians tended the bar and the food was a joke. I ordered spring rolls with shrimp and one needed a magnifying glass to see them and tweezers to get to them. The Peking Duck was a total joke.....about 3 oz of totally dried out and no hoison sauce or rice wraps was even offered. My advise is to stay away from this place and if you want Chinese get in a cab and go to Chinatown!

“Great Location, Service and Food Just Short of Great”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

We visited about three on Halloween Thursday, so it was pretty empty. That should mean great service, but it also apparently meant there wasn't a lot of service staff around. Overall, service was okay, but not very attentive. Our cool Chinese cowgirl was friendly and helpful.

The sesame crusted tuna is touted as spicy. Sorry, no. It tasted great, no problem, but most definitely was not spicy.

Same for the Spicy Diablo roll. Tasted great, and there was plenty of it, but it was not spicy.

I asked for the spicy kung pao chicken, and they finally came through. It was really spicy, and hit the mark perfectly. This was colored a bit by a nasty mouthful of busted-up chicken bones in a couple of bites. This wasn't the end of the world--I just spit it out--but that's not supposed to be in there. There was plenty of this dish, a nice big filling meal. My wife had the Peking Duck, and she enjoyed it thoroughly.

We've been here before, and returned, and will do so again. It's a great Times Square location, and the food is pretty good.
