Wonderful public spaces, bar, restaurant. Perfect location in the village, steps to multiple subway lines, knowledgeable and attentive staff (many with creative careers). Beautifully accented rooms, ours on a west facing upper floor provided views of stunning sunsets. All that and very reasonably priced. It doesn't get any better than this.

Just wanted to say what an absolute credit to Greenwich village this gem of a hotel is! Extremely helpful, friendly staff, gorgeous wooden panelled interior & ace bar. I will definitely come back-missing it already!

Plenty of character here. When i booked this hotel i knew the rooms would be tiny, space is at a premium , room was clean but lacking shelfs and dressing table. Right outside our door in hall way was a aircon unit which was very noisy. Bed was good. Good location and friendly staff.

I did not actually make a reservation at the Marlton, but ended up being sent there in a taxi at 10:30 p.m. when the NoMad hotel (where I had reservations) couldn't accommodate me. The Marlton is a little gem. While the rooms are small (no surprise in NY), mine was clean, comfortable and homey. The decor was fun and kitchey - the lamp sconces had a hand holding them. The staff were charming and attentive. Though they don't have room service, they sent up a menu from the restaurant and brought up my food. I felt very well taken care of and was so appreciative. I understand that their prices are quite competitive though I didn't have to pay as the NoMad had to cover that bill. I would definitely return to this charming hotel. The food sent up from the restaurant was incredibly tasty - wonderful kale salad and some incredible bur rata cheese. Thank you Marlton for taking such good care of me.

Located right in Greenwich Village, close to all the subway stations. Good accommodations, very nice bathrooms. The rooms are small indeed, but that's too be expected in Manhattan.
Don't bother with the hotel breakfast, it's overpriced and the staff isn't reactive.

Wonderful staff, very curteous and willingful. The renovated hotel is classic, and shows great class and taste design-wise, very accomodating to couples. The location in heart of Soho is excellent, in very close proximity to shopping, chic restaurants, and two central subway stations. They keep the place tidy and clean throughout the day. The lounge is humming and inviting.

The sole draw-back is the size of the rooms, being so tiny as to lacking a place to keep luggage above the floor. The cabinet was also small, as it also holds the safe, refrigerator and snacks. In fact, it necessitated us to request the removal of food, so that both of us could store our clothes. The problem is accentuated as the stay in NYC prolongs, since almost every vacation in NYC includes some form of shopping.....
However, in comparison to all positive attributed, I highly recommend the stay there.

Unique, beautiful, and amazing experience. This place is magical for sure plus might be the best bargain in town if you can get a reservation. Rooms are on the smaller side so be prepared, but the charm made up for that.

With the Marlton Hotel, located in the heart of Greenwich Village, comes the latest vision of Hotelier Sean MacPherson. This elegantly restored landmark building was formerly a home to famous artistic figures of the Bohemian and Beat movements, ‘most notably Jack Kerouac’. MacPherson redesigned the property by combining the original architecture with updated French influences for a look inspired by Paris and Greenwich Village history. This “baby grand” hotel guest rooms are charmingly petite yet grand in décor. Guest rooms feature herringbone wood floors, brass fixtures, crown moldings, and marble bathrooms. The ground floor of the property features a 100-seat restaurant with a coffee bar. ... more   less
