I love the chocolate noir spread here. They do good food at reasonable prices. The decaf coffee is really good too. Overall a nice place.

Le Pain Quotidien is definitely reliable - if you love those Tartine sandwiches (and I do!) they are yummy at any location. Their food is also fairly healthy, so it's nice to feel like I've enjoyed a good meal and done good for my body.

The 2 locations I use the most are Lexington between 63rd and 64th and Lexington and 88th. The location in the 60s, I believe, is moving up a couple blocks which is good because the current place is a bit crowded, and the back room, though nicely a bit quieter and private, is stifling because the windows do not open, and it ends up being a bit like a sauna - so if you don't like heat, do not sit in the back room at that location!

The 88th street location, as of writing of this post, has construction outside, so it's too bad because that will eliminate dining outside for the moment. This location is quite big, though some tables are so close together that it's frankly uncomfortable. Service varies - sometimes it's excellent, and sometimes you can wait a long time, but if you are looking for a place to spend a few hours with a friend, this is definitely a great bet!

Everybody got their choice of favorite breakfast, and the coffee was very good as well. The waiters were quick and helpful, and always smiling and friendly.

A great breakfast or brunch stop. Lots of healthy food, scummy cakes and great coffee served in proper french cups (no handles!). We had the frittata which was amazing. Free wifi provided. Service impeccable.

Was recommended to try this by our hotel manager and it worked out very well. First impression was that it must be good as the place was crowded, with a queue to get in. Tried one of the set breakfast menus of orange juice, coffee, croissant, artisan breads and butter, with a side of cheese and ham. Excellent food and atmosphere and a great intro to our NY experience. Would definitely recommend and go again the next time we are in New York. The prices are a little on the high side which makes this the only reason we could not make it a regular breakfast venue.
