My wife and I had lunch after spending some time at the Museum of the City of New York. I had the fritatta of the day (mushroom) and she had the caprese panini. The ice tea was also very good. Everything was fresh and tasty. Service was fine.

Yummy variety. Chocolate Noir excellent as are all bread products. We were a group of 14, and the service was nill. We asked many times for missing parts of the order.

I love the chocolate noir spread here. They do good food at reasonable prices. The decaf coffee is really good too. Overall a nice place.

Le Pain Quotidien is definitely reliable - if you love those Tartine sandwiches (and I do!) they are yummy at any location. Their food is also fairly healthy, so it's nice to feel like I've enjoyed a good meal and done good for my body.

The 2 locations I use the most are Lexington between 63rd and 64th and Lexington and 88th. The location in the 60s, I believe, is moving up a couple blocks which is good because the current place is a bit crowded, and the back room, though nicely a bit quieter and private, is stifling because the windows do not open, and it ends up being a bit like a sauna - so if you don't like heat, do not sit in the back room at that location!

The 88th street location, as of writing of this post, has construction outside, so it's too bad because that will eliminate dining outside for the moment. This location is quite big, though some tables are so close together that it's frankly uncomfortable. Service varies - sometimes it's excellent, and sometimes you can wait a long time, but if you are looking for a place to spend a few hours with a friend, this is definitely a great bet!

Everybody got their choice of favorite breakfast, and the coffee was very good as well. The waiters were quick and helpful, and always smiling and friendly.
