The only nice people in NYC work at this hotel. Always helpful, no NY attitude.

Location is great: close to all subways, Koreatown (great eats), Port Authority buses, Penn Station. And far enough from the annoyances of Times Square.

Empty fridge to fill, smart TV, and Paul Mitchell shampoo in the bathroom were nice touches.

Yes, the room is small compared to suburban hotels, but I've definitely stayed in Manhattan shoeboxes, and this wasn't one of them.

I didn't hear any street noise or noise from adjoining rooms: just some very loud church bells at 7am that woke me up twice.

There is a fitness center that looked clean and in good order.

As an Elite member of Marriott who had stayed with Marriott (globally and in US), i have chosen this hotel due to pretty good reviews from Trip advisor. But it turned out that i have the worst experience in this hotel during my 2 weeks stay in USA which i had stayed with other Marriott brand hotels.
Good pt:
1) The female staffs here are friendly and always greet us whenever they see us.
2) It is a New hotel. so everything is new and clean.
3) Centralise location. near Penn station, Macy's and walkable to Time SQ.
4) Safe. Police station is just opposite of the hotel.
BAD pt:
1) The Male staff at the counter have pretty bad attitude. Not the Marriott experience which i had in other countries and US. In fact, i felt discriminated by that male staff. i can see the treatment was different when he served other guest as compared to me. (I am an Elite member FYI)
2) Rooms are really small. There are bigger rooms in other Marriott brand hotels in NYC.
3) There are only 3 lifts. Waited 15 min to get into a lift. In fact, i saw the hotel staffs occupying one lift and were chit chatting without offering us the additional space in the lift.

Overall, i will not choose this hotel again. I want to state the facts so that other user of Trip advisor can consider my view before considering this hotel.
I will definitely choose Marriott brand hotels again but NOT this hotel. Hugely disappointed.

It was time for our annual 4-night trip to NYC to sightsee. We (daughter, granddaughter and I)chose this hotel for location (we like to stay within walking distance of Penn Station and Times Square area) and price. This hotel fit both perfectly. The room was very nice and very clean, EXCEPT, there was only 1 mirror in the bathroom over the sink. With 3 women getting ready in the AM, it made it a bit more challenging. There were many places an additional mirror (large or small) could have been added. The room had a nice wet bar, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker--all appreciated and used. There is a really nice breakfast area with decent but expensive breakfast foods, a small snack area to purchase drinks, chips, etc. and a beautiful exercise area. The staff were nice but could have been a bit less "business as usual"; one of the ladies at the front desk didn't even look up when my daugher (a grown woman--not a child) asked her for information. The maid on our floor was charming and very friendly. We were only 1-1/2 blocks from Penn Station and there were plenty of nearby restaurants, and places for quick breakfast/luch. And for the first time, we actually had a view (21st floor)! If the price is right, we will definitely return.

Room Tip: Try for a higher floor for a view--not sure if all higher floors have one, but worth the ask.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the hotel was in a perfect location. We took the Air Train / LIRR from JFK and walked the short distance from Penn Station to the hotel. Close to subways and Times Square it was very convenient for sightseeing. The room was spotless and the housekeeping went above and beyond to take care of any requests made (extra coffee etc). The bathroom, especially the shower, was luxurious and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in and we slept like logs after our long days wandering the city! Front desk staff were all pleasant and helpful. The street was quiet late at night but with the police station across the road we felt perfectly safe walking back after enjoying some NYC nightlife.

A group of girlfriends and myself took a train into the city early on a Saturday morning. I knew check-in wasn't until 4:00pm but I was hoping they would keep our bags for us while we wandered around the city. Not only did they offer to keep the bags, they got us right into a room at 9:00am! Carolina at the front desk was wonderful, super friendly and even gave us a little history about the police station across the street while we checked in. The entire staff was positive, upbeat and fun. The hotel was extremely clean and wonderfully located since we came into Penn Station. It was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking! (The picture I submitted was of the beautiful wall as you walk in)

I was looking for a nice hotel with a good location in the city, and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and chic, and the staff was very friendly. The location really can't be beat, especially considering the price.

Stayed here for 2 nights in June. There were 3 adults in the room with two queen size beds. It was just right with 3 in the room. A 4th person may have been bordering tightness. The room was very clean. Modern, new. Had front room facing street on 3rd floor. Thought the noise may be an issue but it was not. Did not hear neighbors too so walls are thick enough. Check in area is small & we arrived at check out time around 12PM so the lobby was full; limited space. The rain that day did not help. The porters, especially Melvin were very helpful, friendly and warm - much more than check-in receptionist. The cleaning crew did awesome to clean the room. Even left a note to say "thank you" for tips. Good location to get around. Great that they could store our luggage after check out time. It helped as we had night flight. Took subway to JFK airport. Give yourself 1 1/2 to 2 hours for wait time and walking to get to JFK. highly recommend and would return here.
