What an amazing space reclaimed from such an industrial use. The people of NYC who supported and funded this project should be very proud of what they have achieved, and as we saw the work/walk is continuing). Friends had said this was a must do when we were in NYC and I am so glad we did find time to do walk the High Line from Gansevoort Street all the way through to 30th Street. Despite running on top of a very busy city that is always moving you feel like you have found a bit of an oasis and peace from the busy city below you. There are many interesting things to stop and look at along the way & musicians playing, as well as small market stalls (we did walk through on a weekend, so not sure if these are there all the time). We would definitely recommend this as a thing to do whether you are a local or a visitor to NYC and whether you have 30 minutes or 3 hours, go and take the HIGH LINE.

You get a totally different perspective from the High line. And what a creative idea!
End at Chelsea Market to load up on tasty goodies.

We really enjoyed our early morning walk here. The views are good. It was cold but it was a November morning. Nicely maintained flower borders

This is a cool place to visit. While walking on the high line, you can see apartment buildings. Then you can hop by to the Chelsea food market if you're a foodie for a break.
