I was here for the sunset and it was beautiful. Its a pretty walk way with much to see and some seating areas along the way. It wasn't to busy when I was there. One of my favourite things to do in New York

“High above traffic, walk through flowers and green spaces”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

The High line starts a few blocks shy from 34th street shopping quarter and will take you all the way to high-end boutiques of the Meatpacking district, through narrow parks installed on the former railroads with breathtaking views of the Hudson river and the Chelsea area.

Stop at the Chelsea Market or at one of the parks/coffee shop along the urban elevated park and finish in the Meatpacking district for some serious shopping or food!

Free of charge.

Not convenient for running (sometimes too crowded), but many locations along the High line have benches, suntanning long chair, and there are kids play area (including a "ground style fountain" where water submerge an area to cool off in summer).

“Beautiful on a sunny day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

We had a stroll along the High Line on a lovely sunny day and truly enjoyed the experience. Great to be able to walk along enjoying the views and stop off in Chelsea for lunch then back on to work the lunch off. Great meeting place to sample some NYC culture

“Beautiful view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

This may have been one of my most favorite things we did on our trip last week. I highly recommend on a beautiful day! There are amazing views of the Hudson and the landscaping along the way is just incredible. Hard to believe you are walking above the city. I would bring a wrap since it is windy so close to the water- it gets cool in the evening as the sun is setting. Great to wrap up the walk with a drink at one of the Meatpacking roof tops afterwards and/or shopping.

“Amazing view”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

We had an amazing walk on the highline. The park was very clean and build to perfection. When you walk along the streets of New York looking down you get a completly different view to the NYC way of life. Loooking back at our trip this was a hightlight among all the good things in New York.
