Loved it, been here before in winter and now in summer it looks so different due to plants full of leaves. Very relaxed and cheerful people around us

with all the press on this you would think you could walk the length of manhattan, that is not the case at all, short and thin, ok, but the press on it has raised expectations too high

Built on an old railroad track this horizontal park in New York City is one of a kind. From flowers, to cafes, to lounge chairs it is a one of a kind experience!

We'd been recommended The High Line by a few different friends so we made sure to include in our plans.

I think in our heads we thought it would have beautiful views across the river and city skyline but in reality it was mainly of apartment blocks and warehouses, and a lot of it was encased in scaffolding while building works went on around it when we visited.

This is certainly the "hip" side of town, and perhaps we just weren't cool enough to fit in?

We did love the water feature section, was well received after a long hot day of walking!

A great walk at food top level for 1.5 miles along old New York railway line converted to a walkway with pretty shrubs throughout. Occasional detours down to street level for coffee then return to the walkway. A very pleasant couple of hours.
