Walked most of the High line during our visit and enjoyed it. It was near our hotel so we decided to head there and walk it down towards down town and the get the subway from the end. While we enjoyed it and it is a nice walk, if we didn't stay near by I wouldn't go out my way to walk it.

Did not expect such a lovely walk way through the city of New York on an old disused railway line. It is well kept there is seats available through out the walk. You forgot that you are in a very busy city. We walked all the way & back and also visited Chelsea market as well lovely boutique shops and small eatery places in there well worth a visit.

In a city of the mighty dollar, where profit and capacity are watch words, the conversion of this obsolete rail line to a city walk through a wood and meadow is so reassuring that sanity still exists.
We got the subway to 14th and wandered a bit through Chelsea and a modicum of calm in this up and coming area.
The street sign advising $350 fine for honking perhaps helped the peace, much needed strategy for uptown.
Anyway, we entered the line at 12th and walked all the way to the end, marvelling at the inspiration that created this relaxing space whilst witnessing true financial greed at Hudson Yards.

With the creative and thoughtful landscape design, walking along the high line is a relaxing and fun excursion. What a wonderful ecological use of the space!

Our first activity in NYC. A nice simple walk after that transatlantic flight. The roof top bar bar of the standard hotel great for sundowners!
