The high line now extends from Meatpacking all the way up to 32nd St, and loops around the railroads at Hudson Yards. You get a great view of Hudson River and an unrestricted view of Weehawken down to Jersey City. Filled with cafes and ice cream stops, great place to walk around in Spring through Fall. One down side is that the high line can get extremely crowded in certain areas like around 23rd St and 14th St.

This is a nice, long walk where you can see the both city and New Jersey. If you have young children, be sure to let them experience the Pershing Square Beams to burn off some energy.

My daughter and I walked the entire length of the High Line while in NYC in July 2015 and really enjoyed it. What a treat to walk along the city at that level! Loved the planting and "rest" areas along the way, the little gift kiosks and events that were taking place as well. BTW, I am just posting this review (6.25.18) and Trip Advisor only lets me select a time frame back to July 2017, unfortunately......as I mentioned, we actually visited in July 2015. Trip advisor - you need to change visit time frame options to allow true selection options, not masked by specific date range.

After spending SOOO much money in NYC on our vacation, it was really nice to do something for free. The High Line is technically a park, but it's so much more than that. It's an experience with views, plants, arts, and activities. There are food and ice cream vendors as well.

There are tours available as well that you can book in advance. Learned so much about the history of the area and the creation of the High Line.

Thank Kelsey J
