“"Good breakfast"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

This lovely little restaurant provided us with a good breakfast and set us up for the day on our first day in New York. The staff were attentive and the food took no time at all in arriving. As much coffee as you wanted. At the time we went in it wasn't very busy and it has a good ambiance. Toilets on site. Everywhere clean and tidy.

“A lovely little bistro”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

Six of us walked in off the street, were seated immediately, and had fabulous food -- all of us. My cheese plate was amazing -- the best goat cheese I've ever had, and the bleu cheese was amazing. My moules frites were unbelievable -- some of the best mussels I've ever had, and I get mussels all the time. The raspberry crumble special that night was delicious and perfectly sweet without being too much for dessert. And all of this was for the prix fixe of $45. Service was attentive and helpful, and we enjoyed our evening so very much. A great little restaurant at reasonable prices that knows how to put together a delicious meal.

“Good basic food”

The prix fixe is a good value. However, the food is okay, but there is nothing memorable. This is our second time eating there.

“Wonderful breakfast; delicious lunch, can't wait for dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

Having read the reviews, I can't say I have enjoyed dinner at Madison Bistro yet. But I have had several wonderful breakfasts and delicious lunches. Breakfast has never been very crowded so the restaurant is quiet. The omelettes are always carefully prepared and the eggs salmon benedict superb.

Lunches have been equally good. The restaurant has often been crowded, but I found the noise manageable. The specials are always well-recommended and very good. Lately, there has been an excellent prix fixe lunch at a great price for 2 courses and dessert.

Excellent place for Murray Hill and a short walk down from midtown.

“Best ever French food experience in Manhattan”

Excellent French cuisine, tasty, generous and very accessible. I really enjoyed eating the lasagna and the sorbet. Follow my example and 'Bon appetit"!
