“Fantastic middle east food and hospitality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2014 via mobile

We had the menu. A variety of appetizers followed by the mixed grill, and nice desert. So good, so friendly, so professional. No difference with middle east in the middle of NYC. Maybe one: restrooms in byblos are clean an spacious. :-)

“Enjoyed a delicious Lebanese dinner! superb host and team”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2014

Restaurant was quiet midweek, but all the better because we were catered too by a great waiter, and enjoyed our delicious dinner (although forgot to take the doggy bag because it was slow in coming). Host/owner was gracious and friendly as we stayed til rather late enjoying our conversation. We appreciated the privileges of closing the place without being rushed. Food was very very good. Bar extensive, Lebanese wines but also many French options. I will definitely go again.

“Valentine's Day Bust”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2014

Service was horrible. Food was OK we got the price fix for Valentine's. We were not even sure who our waiter was. They were very disorganized. It was impossible to get a check an d we sat for over 20 minutes with no food or drink trying to get someone's attention

“Food was ok, service stinks. Won't return.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2014 via mobile

I went with my family and we were very excited to try the "new" byblos as we had loved the old one. This time was clearly not a good time. We were there around 7pm, and they were out of shish kabob. The waitress had absolutely no life in her. She blandly suggested the steak which we went with and it was simply ok. We had to call across the room to ask for water as the waitress seemed engrossed in a conversation with the bartender. There were only three other tables there, we shouldn't have to ask for water. Either way, on our way out the waitress didn't even say thank you as we were leaving. I think she should have been a bit more lively to deserve the 20% tip we left for her. I guess it's our fault for leaving it for her though. Anyways, we won't return, places like this should really think of hiring more professional people, in nyc, service is everything.
