“Nice setting sooooooooooooooo expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

Food quality good......... Service a little bit stuffy but very knowledgeable, good wine list, but omg, so expensive..... Much better quality and much less expensive restaurants in NYC ..... Really , unless you are loaded.... Give it a miss.....

“Tradition with flair”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2014 via mobile

Had an excellent business dinner here. The filet mignon was superb, as you would expect it to be. The vegetables were also fresh and excellent. Although on the pricey side, I have paid more and gotten much less. I felt the price was worth the quality and service.

“Just what you'd expect from an iconic hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 February 2014

This was just what you'd expect from a hotel such as The Waldorf. Dimmed lighting and rich woods create an upscale atmosphere centered around an enormous bar. Cushy leather armchairs and private tables are available as well. This was our first evening out in NYC and choose this for it's location before heading out into the city. great service, though pricey, but then you are in the Waldorf. Far less noisy and crowded than the other bars in the hotel.

“Great upscale hotel/steakhouse bar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 January 2014

If you want something a little less crowded than the other two main bars in the Waldorf, then this is a great option. The bartenders are exactly what you would expect in such a place - some of them even a perfect movie stereotype. Remember that it is NYC and the Waldorf Astoria, so expect to pay a pretty penny - $18 for a regular drink to be exact.

The ticker has stock prices by day and sports scores during nights/weekends/holidays.

“Well it is the Waldorf after all”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2014

OK, so we booked in for the NYE dinner @ $700 per couple - set menu.
Surprisingly the Bull and Bear was not booked out - inconceivable we thought, but there it was.
The champers on arrival was passe' to be blunt, and as we were entitled to only 1 glass of wine, we looked at an Australian red.
Since we both had opted for the steak, I asked the Sommelier, Jessica for her suggestion. She opined the selected Australian wine may not be as deep and complex as we wanted and suggested one from Sonoma which turned out to be a delicious shiraz.
The food was excellent, the service impeccable and the Maitre de Lisa ( 5th day on the job ) checked on us twice to make sure we were enjoying everything.
In fact 3 days later when I returned to ask the name of the wine Lisa remembered my name. Good work.
