Description: La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The 250-bottle wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.

The food and service was excellent. I had the sea bass over argues with lemon and whipped potatoes. It was outstanding. For dessert, the chocolate almond torte was also delicious as well. Beautiful place, great location. I will definitely go again. VERY NICE WAITSTAFF!

I do not know how we have missed this place as I fell like we have had so many Italian meals in this neighborhood. Very tasty food, gracious genuine service, and loved sitting outdoors even in the rain! New favorite pre and post theatre find.

The restaurant is in a great location for pre theater or post theater dining. The food and atmosphere are exceptional! The pasta melted in ones mouth and the sauce was perfect. I will definitely return again and again.

Food was pretty good but not great. I've eaten in many Italian restaurants (in Italy and out with) and this was nice but we've had much better.

The service was very very poor. We were seated outside and I noticed most of the other tables were speaking Italian. The waiter was all over these tables chatting away and we felt ignored as a result. I understand it must be nice for the waiting staff to chat to other Italians but if we are paying ~$50 each for a main course, 2 drinks and sharing a dessert I expect better. For both our main and dessert we had to catch the waiter's attention to order despite out menus clearly being in the 'we're ready to order' position. Twice we had to ask for a drink and twice we had to ask for the bill. We left a good tip as we know this is the norm in the US and the food was good but we were quite annoyed when we left about the service.

This did not apply to all waiting staff as the others did appear much more attentive to all their tables, even if they never spoke Italian!!!
