Great bar located next to 70 Park Avenue Hotel. Does not serve food, but the bartenders were great, knowledgable and fun. We were here late night....not crowded and very cozy.

This is attached to the hotel we stayed in, 70 Park Avenue. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. We used this also in the mornings for our breakfast, again really nice place to be.

Take care - the happy hour cocktails at $6 don't include name brand name vodka and tonic - they billed us for $13 per drink! That said, it was a nice bar, and the VAT went down a treat, so - forgiven!

As I work in the area, I have found Silverleaf to be a reliable place for drinks after work or casual client lunch. The bartenders are terrific - willing to accommodate any request - Bloody Mary (no mix please, from scratch), extra olives, lime not lemon etc. They are attentive without being invasive and I've never been pressed to order another round of drinks or vacate our seats. The food is a somewhat predictable bar menu - but well consistently well prepared and fairly priced. The atmosphere is nicely lit with a variety of seating options. No bar or restaurant can predict the behavior of their clientele on a given night, but for all the times I've been there I've never been in a rowdy or overly loud environment - in fact that's why I choose SLT for client drinks after work - because it's possible to have a low key, private conversation in a comfortable environment - hard to do in this area of town. Maybe my timing has been lucky over the years, but I'm a fan and will keep coming back.

Our party of three professionals needed a place to meet to talk over a complicated business plan. We came at 5:30 pm, and secured a quiet table. We ordered 2 rounds of drinks and appetizers - then meals - in good order. At 6:55 pm, we were asked whether we wanted another round of drinks. We declined - but needed at least another 20 minutes to conclude our conversation. Our female server told us that we had to leave immediately because "hotel guests would be needing a table for dinner." We looked around and saw 3 empty tables....and absolutely no one waiting at the door. When we checked our credit card statement the next day, our $150 bill had been inflated and needed adjustments. This is midtown Manhattan - and there is no shortage of great places to do business on an expense or personal account. Cozy atmosphere means nothing when the server is ridiculously rude and we have to call AmEx to have the bill adjusted. The Silverleaf Tavern has quickly been crossed off our list.
