“Superb evening”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2013

Small intimate club, great service/atmosphere and the music (Clarence Spady) was pumping...time just flew and before we knew it..it was sadly time to leave (3am)...if you are in New York City, put Terra Blues on your list of things to see and do..you won't regret it!!

“Great Blues Club”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 October 2013

Went on a Saturday and the place must have been pretty close to full, so very squashed. It's smaller than expected, with a mass of tiny tables at the front and some standing space at the rear, so an early entry on a Saturday is recommended. It reminded us very much of the Edinburgh Jazz Bar in terms of size, audience and atmosphere, which can only be a good thing.

We were kind of disappointed with Clarence Spady, however. A great guitarist, but he seemed to keep veering off into funky tunes and did an interminable Beatles number with a ridiculously long drum solo. Maybe this wasn't his blues night.

We came back on the Monday for the T Blues Band, as that seemed more like it would be pure blues. Luckily we weren't disappointed and were hugely impressed by Saron Crenshaw and Jerry Dugger, who gave us the blues we were hoping for. It was much quieter on the Monday, maybe only half full at best, which we found surprising in a city the size of New York.

Drinks weren't too outrageously priced and the service was efficient and friendly, so we're only disappointed that we were simply tourists and couldn't get to experience this on a regular basis.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 October 2013 via mobile

Prices:
Cover $10 each person, beer $7, wine $9, whisky $10, voluntary tips for the band and you can buy the CD of the band for $15

The acustic excelente, the waitress very kind, good wine, cold beer, little tables but comfortables chair, in grneral a nice place with very good atmosphere.

The musicians are the best, simply you can feel their love for the real blues, if you like good music one night in terra and you love Blues

just when i thought there are no more places like this anymore i ran into Terra Blues. small place but great atmosphere, fantastic acoustics and the special of this place: great blues musician in live performance at a relaxed scene. admission reasonable, nice choice of drinks, amazing staff and above all Ilan, the owner, a great guy who's there at all times. i do recommend, i will come back.

“Blues in NYC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 October 2013

If you love hearing great blues, Terra Blues is the place for you. The layout of the room is comfortable and the acoustics are very good. Best of all the cover charge is very reasonable especially for NYC. The two blues acts were phenomenal. I am now a Clarence Spadey fan. Great music and great guitar planning.

If you get there for the opening act, there seems to be plenty of setting. The place really fills as the night progresses. You will also meet some interesting characters, both locals and tourists.

Check it out!
