“Amazing find!”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

Wandering around the East Village, hungry and just hoping to stumble upon a great meal - we did. Not much to look at, this simple, kind of dark little Tibetan/Nepali place hit on all cylinders. We frequent Tibetan places in the Northeast, so ordered several dishes we don't typically see on those menus. We assumed these were more Nepali in origin. All three dishes we ordered were fantastic (sorry we don't remember their names). One was a cold veggie and tofu app in a tomato base. Fresh, tasty, with a bit of a kick. A chicken curry dish was similarly great, as was a chicken and fresh seasonal veggie dish. Place was quiet so food came quickly. Server was friendly and responsive. We will absolutely return.

“Hidden gem; nice place, food & people”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

Found this place by chance and liked it so much, that we found our way back twice in a week.
Small and very informal, excellent range of dishes to cater for most tastes (incl. vegetarian). Friendly service, took time to recommend a nice selection of dishes for us.

“Great (vegetarian) food in the East Village (after Stomp)”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

We walked here from the Orpheum theater after a Stomp performance (~10min). This is a small restaurant (about 20 seats) with an interesting menu, and attentive service. I'm not an expert on himalayan food, but some of the menu items did seem like adaptations for vegetarian tastes. Who cares, since everything was delicious. I would give a special shout out to the salads. The prices at this restaurant are as attractive as the entrees. The veggie salads were about $5, and the entrees less than $10. My wife and two teenage daughters were very satisfied with 3 salads, 3 entrees and a soup. Did I mention they have bottled beer for $4.

Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.
