I'd never been to HC thinking it was most likely a tourist trap being it is near to Times Square, but recently it was conveniently located so I met friends there. Was pleasantly surprised! The mojitos were great, the sampler tasty and well presented, and a small group of musicians were smoking hot singing beautiful Cuban music! I've since gone a few more times and have been equally pleased! The tab was decent for NYC!

Drinks and tapas amidst a lively, colorful Cuban decor made for a fun afternoon respite. The mango margarita is a must! We ordered the Havana corn on the cob which consisted of three cobettes in a delightful dusting of flavor. The pulled pork tacos were very good although on the small side and again, three to the plate. Service was rather slow but friendly.

The food was excellent and the wait staff was very courteous and welcoming! Have not experienced really good Cuban food in this area for a long time, and I think I have a new favorite! Would highly recommend!

The food *was* tasty, but there were several issues that made this a bit of a disappointing experience. 1) the waiters forgot a bunch of items, and couldn't remember who ordered what, setting down the wrong food three or four times - not even our group's food occasionally! 2) It was noisy as hell in there - I came away with a sore throat. 3) The pulled beef, while delicious, was luke warm at best. 4) Some of my friends didn't get their meal until 20 minutes after everyone else, which was a shame

Noisy and spotty service and menus that can be grimy and very touristy, slightly over-priced drinks is all made up for with the food that is uniformly good and tasty. Pretty much everything on the menu is good for a mid-priced large-scale restaurant
The live music on some evenings can be way way too loud for a decent conversation to be had. Still better food and value than most Times Square joints.
