“A Room Across from Rock Ctr...and a "Club," Too!”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

Great location on 51st Street, right across from Rockefeller Center and Radio City. Such a subtle entrance, you might miss it...look for "Johnny Utah's" Bar and Restaurant (as of this writing) signage next door to help. Clean, efficient rooms. Don't look for a sweeping Front Desk and capacious lobby area...Front Desk is basically a podium, and there's just barely enough room to accommodate a check-in crowd. Staff handled it all with aplomb and smiles, moving people and things as swiftly as possible. It's a bit of a walk to the nearest Uptown/Downtown subway lines, but not a killer. Times Square, Theater District, and more are easy walks, and many of the different "City Tour" buses have nearby stops.
Seventh Floor is "The Club" and the fitness center. The Club has nice living room space, PC and Apple workstations with printers, a bar and food service with a great little menu; the kitchen performs the items well...didn't have anything there that disappointed. They even do room service! Location, internal hospitality services, up-to-date rooms and surrounds and value make this a good stop.

If you don't mind a bedroom with just enough room for a queen sized bed, narrow desk and wall mounted big screen television, this hotel may be your gateway to Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, Broadway, Times Square, MOMA, Central Park and all the other great attractions of midtown. The hotel met my wife and my needs entirely. We were in the room only to sleep and use the bathroom, both of which was accomplished very comfortably. At registration there is one clerk behind a console to check you in and no bellmen. A restaurant on the 7th floor with a terrace for outdoor dining is moderately priced and offers a broad menu. Complimentary purified water is available for all guests free of charge, there is free wi-fi and coffee machines in every room. Two efficient elevators kept waiting to a minimum. We didn't avail ourselves of the fitness center or computer and printer room, but heard they were adequate. The room price was very reasonable compared to surrounding hotels. All things considered, Club Quarters will be one of top choices for Manhattan midtown.

Room Tip: Don't book the 7th floor or lower.

We were quite pleased with the value and location for this property in NYC. Yes, the rooms were small..but not by NY standards. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. It was amazing how well they handled the busy check in time and kept a friendly face & Smile. We would definitely suggest this hotel for anyone looking for a great location with ease of navigating the city.

The entrance to the hotel is small and the lobby area as well, so you might find it a bit crowded already from the beginning. It doesn't help that there only are two elevators available and 26 floors to serve, so there might be a wait before you can leave the lobby (or get down from your floor as well). But besides from that it is quite good. The rooms are on the small side, but being in the middle of Manhattan you can't really expect anything else. Even if they are small, they are fresh and well equipped giving you a good nights sleep. And even if you don't like small rooms, nothing beats the location! Just off Rockefeller Center with 5th Av, Times Square and Central Park just around the corner it's a perfect spot to start your New York shopping spree from.

Room Tip: The higher up you go, the less you'll hear from the street noise.

Stayed here twice now and can't fault it atall. Okay, the rooms are small but it is a hotel SLAP BANG in the middle of NYC, what do you expect? If you went to NYC to spend time in a hotel room then maybe this isn't the hotel for you. However, if you plan to explore and shop till you drop, this hotel is for you. Excellent location, friendly staff, clean rooms and all in great atmosphere. Really enjoyed both my stays here and would recommend it to anybody. Please don't be put off by room size - some people have totally exaggerated the size of rooms - small BUT spacious in my honest opinion.

We stayed in Club Quarters in April. So far, this was the best location compared to the other hotels we stayed in NYC. The rooms are tiny, but it is usual I guess for Ny. When you walk out of the hotel, you are on 5th avenue in 1 minute.

The location of the hotel is unrivalled for my purposes - I try to get in either at this hotel or at their slightly newer sister hotel, "The Jewel" a few doors down on W.51st St.
The thing about this hotel is the amazing front desk staff - it is unfaor to name names as they are all great, but Mercedes, Mika and Latina could not have done more to make us feel personally valued as guests, thak you all.
