We took a vacation to New York City on October 18, 2013 through October 23, 2013.
We decided to stay at the London because of the location. It seemed like all the decent hotels in the area of midtown Manhattan were pricy, but if thats where you want to stay, you have to pay the price. We were not dissapointed at all. Everyone at the London was very friendly and very helpful. The room was immaculate and well maintained. The house keeping was very good as well. The concierge was about as friendly and available as I have seen anywhere. They were very knowledgeable about restaurants and things to do. The hotel is in an excellent location for first time vactioners to NYC. Don't bother to look anywhere else. This hotel has it all. I can't imagine another hotel coming close to what you get at the London

Room Tip: The higher up you go, the better the view. But.... you are visiting New York City. You won't be in your room much!

The Symphony suggested the London NYC as convenient to Carnegie Hall. While it is only two blocks from the recital hall, it is close to Central Park and an easy walk to museums, Broadway theaters, and the Diamond and Garment Districts. The staff is every helpful and knowledgeable. Our bed was very comfortable. Unusual for hotels, the lighting was in the 'right' places and of the proper brightness. The room size was adequate/fine and furnishings in good condition. The bathroom was well designed for two people to get ready to go out on the town simultaneously. Did not use the gym or bar but we did use the restaurant - once for breakfast. It was tasty and hot when served but tables are very close to each other, it was noisy, and over-priced. Fortunately, there are great, reasonably priced places to eat nearby. We would definitely stay there again.

The London a fine hotel. Let The London take care of you. Sit back and relax. Have a problem, an issue, a question the Staff will take care of it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bedding so comfortable just about guaranteed a sound night sleep. The gym clean and up to date. The bar tended by a fine crew. The concierge group know NYC will get you what you want where you want, when you want. The restaurant run by Chef Gordon Ramsey some of the best cuisine in NYC.

The London takes care of you.

Room Tip: Have stayed several have not had a bad room

I travel a lot and I stay in quite a few nice hotels and the London NYC is definitely one of the best hotels in the world. The rooms are fabulous - really modern with all the amenities you would expect from a top notch hotel. The rooms have to be some of the most spacious in New York without a doubt. Pick a room on one of the higher floors and you have some of the best views of NY as well.

What really makes this hotel special are the staff - they are not pretentious and really just want to make your stay as comfortable as it gets. I stayed here for one week during my birthday and the staff did everything they could to make our stay special. I had a hand written note from the General Manager with a bottle of champagne and some roasted nuts waiting for me when i checked in and she even sent me a box of chocolates on my birthday. The concierge was really helpful as well and got us tickets to a Broadway show I really wanted to watch which was sold out. Its the small things that make a hotel stay special and the London, NYC definitely delivers. I would definitely stay here again.
