This was our first stay here through Amex Platinum Concierge. Great location, beautiful suite on 51st floor with some view of Central Park and Columbus Circle. Maze convenient with nice breakfast. Good place for a drink with delicious appetizer. Carlos, our waiter was helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back.

This is my third time staying at the London Hotel, and not so sure that I will go back. It is this kind of service that gives NYC a bad name. Upon arrival, the bell man took our bags from the car to the front desk (20 feet distance), with about a dozen people checking in, the Bell Man at the top of his voice announced "It is a pleasure to serve you, sir", he repeated this same line three times, obviously encouraging me to give him a tip for his services. I get it!!!! But I did not have change in my pocket and was waiting to break a $100 bill so I could "take care of him for his service". Then another bell boy takes your bags to your room, and you have to tip him as well. I am certainly not cheap and when you are paying over $1,000 a night for a hotel suite, you do not need some shmuck to belittle you in front of other guests. Show some class London Hotel, this is not my first Rodeo and I certainly know how to "TAKE CARE" of the staff for services rendered. Throughout the remainder of our stay we witnessed the same bell staff treating Uber, Taxis and other drivers coming up to the Hotel with the same arrogance and disrespect shown to me.

Have stayed (and reviewed) this hotel many times in the past and every time have given it nothing but rave reviews, but I have to say, this time it fell down a bit. The desk staff seemed underprepared and not as polished. Part of the program I am in offers an upgrade for the room. The room we were "upgraded" to, wasn't. The room was incredibly warm. When I called down the first time to ask why the air conditioning wasn't working, the front desk staff said "we don't have A/C, this is winter! If you are warm, open the window". Ouch. Had to complain to the manager to get the A/C going. Physical plant needs updating. This building at one point was apartments, hence the large rooms. Maybe its time to convert it back to a apartment building.

Great location. Hotel (and rooms) has a bit of visible wear. Lovely staff at check in and restaurant/bar. Room service and housekeeping outstanding. Had an amazing view with the London Sky Apartments. Views of the Hudson and Central Park (breath-taking).... Would stay again.

Room Tip: London Sky Apartments for an amazing view and LOTS of space.

This is the most wonderful hotel in the world if you love theatre and are going every possible moment like we did. Perfectly located on 54th st and 7th Avenue, it is easy walking distance to any theatre up town or midtown. Only two blocks away from 5th ave and MOMA too.
We stayed in beautiful corner suite on the 54th floor called the Sky Terrace. 750 sq feet of bliss.
We could see Central Park from every window even though we had to look around the buildings in front of us. The living room was huge and elegantly furnished. There was a heated floor in the bathroom and ton of gadgets everywhere. Everything was Hi-tech with switches to turn all lights on and open and close two sets of drapes. Huge shower with a rain shower and a hand held one. Huge soaking tub again with lots of gadgets. Bedroom was sleek and comfortable.
It is a busy hotel and I wouldn't recommend wasting your time eating there as there are so many fabulous 4 star restaurants all around. The draw here is the Sky Terrace Suite - they are only on the 53rd and 54th floors . Ask for the Central Park view, not the city view. We paid $1,000 a night. I know that is expensive, but you could not get what we had for anywhere near that price in any other hotel like the Four Seasons, the Plaza etc. This was a steal at that price.
But we splurged for our anniversary. I made sure that I looked at a regular suite - this is an all suite hotel - and found it to be very lovely. Next time we go, I would probably stay in one of those at 1/4th the price.
At only 5 blocks from Central Park, 4 blocks from Carnegie Hall, one block from the Carnegie Deli and no more than 10 blocks to any theatre, this lovely hotel was just perfect for our needs.

The rooms, or suites should I say, are of a great size with the lounge area providing more than adequate space to spread out. This is a rarity in NYC and is difficult to beat at the price I achieved on this visit. Layout of the room was impressive and made good use of the space. Finding some of the room items was a challenge at times (the iron / ironing board is in the truck at the end of the bed and the bathrobes are wrapped up under the sink area) but this wouldn't put me off staying here again if the price was right.

All in all this is a decent Hotel although it can get expensive at certain times.

Room Tip: Outside noise can be easily heard on the lower floors

The London Hotel did not live up to expectations and its promise given during a recent 6-night stay by a high-level guest. The room was booked through an agency, which also placed an order for vegan breakfast. This order was followed up by a NYC based colleague, who got assured by the front desk staff that there was no problem in providing the vegan breakfast.
Well, the expectations were shot down the first morning: shirts delivered for ironing the evening before arrived late and so did the high-level guest for his first meeting... Fine, there was no charge. The main problem remained the vegan breakfast, which after reminders, was more or less successfully organized only the two last mornings, thanks to Daniel.
This is below par service. Very poor, given the rate.
Today, a request for vegan breakfast should not be considered as something extraordinary, on the contrary. Staff at front desk was very arrogant and leaves a lot to be desired.
There was no compensation, although the breakfasts had been booked/payed for through the order. This is bad business ethics.
We do not consider returning to the hotel and would not recommend it after this experience. You can find better hotels at the same price - and they will most probably treat you nicer.
