“Might spot a few celebs!”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

The London is a chick hotel in midtown NYC. Walkable distance to both Central Park and Times Square. You also have a very good chance of spotting numerous celebs during your stay. There are frequently members of the paparazzi outside waiting to take some pics.

The hotel itself is very nice. Great staff willing to,help. There is a nice bar/restaurant downstairs as well. The rooms are very early big with a nice sitting area and very comfy beds. Bathroom has a huge shower too.....one side has a rain shower and the other a regular shower.

Highly recommend this hotel for leisure or biz!

We stayed here for a few nights while holidaying in New York.

The rooms are especially spacious, service attentive and friendly and all amenities are on hand.

We didn't have a view but the room was quiet and the shower great!

The location was perfect- easy to explore NYC on foot or subway access close by.

I would happily recommend to other visitors to New York.

This was my second stay and even better than the first. The price is reasonable for the area and the hotel is in a great location. Rooms are large, spotless, and very comfortable. Staff is friendly and very efficient at any time of day. I came in late one evening needing a sewing kit, and the concierge had one brought to my room minutes after my request. Love this place and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel. From start to finish it was a fabulous experience. The service was impeccable. Everyone was so friendly & helpful! We got great advice from the concierge about places to visit. The cleaning staff couldn't be more helpful & went out of their way to be fast & efficient. One morning we went to eat breakfast & came back to discover that they had cleaned all 3 of our rooms while we were eating!

The rooms were spacious. Each room opened into a small area containing a mini-bar & space for drinks. There was a spacious sitting room complete with a fun semi-circular sofa, office & rocking chair. The bedrooms were large with a spacious area for suitcases & hanging clothes. Beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows (extras upon request). The bathroom was an experience. The shower was huge with two shower heads! The shower ran almost the entire length of the room. There were also comfortable robes to use. The rooms were clean with wonderful decor. Blackout curtains were found in each room. The rooms were also very quiet. I couldn't hear any noise in the hall but if I had I could close the doors to the bedroom for additional soundproofing. The layout allowed me to feel at home in my room. It was a great place to just rest & relax.

The location was perfect: Only a few blocks from Central park, within walking distance to Times Square & a block from the B,C D & E subway. There were plenty of restaurants & shops within walking distance as well. We felt close to everything we wanted to do.

The breakfast was great. The only slightly negative thing was that the restaurant was a bit slow in seating us if you got there after 9am. The fruit was extremely fresh. There was a nice selection of pastries, cereal, meats, cheeses & breads. We also ordered pancakes & eggs off the menu which were tasty. The same room became a very nice bar & restaurant later. We did not eat at the restaurant but drinks in the late evening were wonderful as well. It was a cozy, fun bar.

Next time we go to NYC this is where we would stay!

Stayed here for 4 nights in March and was def not disappointed ! Great location and great size rooms for NYC !
We had a standard room which was def not standard for this city, It was more like a small apartment with huge living area , bedroom , dressing room and huge bathroom with twin shower.
Staff where excellent and room service very fast.
Would def stay here again and had free wifi which is unusual for NYC hotels (since they like to charge for everything in this city) wifi was fast , electric curtains , fab lighting , loads of sockets for devices and great tv channels.
Beautiful hotel and a ten min walk to Times Square.

A friend recommended London to me as I have stayed at 12 different hotels in Manhattan in the past five years. The hype that she gave to London was actually right on target from check-in procedure to the moment we entered the suite and were surprised at the spaciousness and decor.

The fitness center was ultra modern and plenty of equipment.

But our real surprise was the friendliness of the staff as they had to deal with hundreds of screaming teens on the sidewalk waiting for the hit group Five Seconds of Summer to come out of the hotel.

This was my 4th stay at the London, and I have been impressed each time. My last visit from 7/12-716 for business was no exception. The price, compared to other NYC hotels, is quite good, and the rooms/suites are much larger than most other hotels in the city. (Plus the bathroom and shower is excellent). Further the staff is one of the best and extremely accomodating. The bartender, Nicole, was very professional and remembered not only your name but what you liked to drink. The exercise facility was large and up to date with the latest equipment and technology. Overall this was a great experience and I look forward to staying here again soon.

Room Tip: The higher the floor the better the view of Manhattan.
