This hotel is very clean and well maintained. Our room was clean and nice but very small, certainly adequate. The breakfast is large and has different offerings each morning. While large the breakfast room is too small for the size of the hotel although we did manage to find a table each morning. The hotel is near Penn Station so we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Manhattan and we always felt safe. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and they have a room where you can leave your luggage for sightseeing on your last day in the city.
I would stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Thank you Sophie!
I'm very happy to hear that you found our hotel to be clean, comfortable and safe. Our breakfast can get a little busy. We always recommend that you beat the crowds by getting an early start, but we always have enough food for everyone. This year we hope to enlarge the space; adding to the enjoyment of our property. It's really nice to hear that you found our staff helpful and appreciated our location.
I hope that you stay with us again, the next time you travel from the great Northwest.
Please feel free to contact me when you do.

We stayed here for 5 nights from 11 - 15 April and for our first visit to New York, it was in a perfect location. We arrived at Penn station from Newark via the Airtrain and it was just a few minutes walk away. We were well-located in Midtown for all the sights and could walk to most places. We also had a good choice of subway options though.

The room was a bit small for 4 people and it took us a while to sort the space out so that we had somewhere to put everything but we managed it in the end. The bathroom was of a decent size and the shower was excellent, except on the last day when their water heater had broken down and never seemed to get going again! The staff were very apologetic though and that made up for the inconvenience. When we first arrived, the staff weren't terribly welcoming but at all other times, they couldn't have been more helpful, especially when we asked to stow our luggage on our last day.

As most other people have said, the inclusive breakfast was a great option but because of that, it was also very popular. It was very hard to get a table to sit at and you had to have a strategy to get anywhere near the food! We worked it out though and other diners were very friendly so it was alright most of the time. We did go out though on one day because we just couldn't face the 'scrum'.

Our room was on the 12th floor so the lift was pretty essential and we did find we had to wait a long time for it to come because of the volume of people waiting and the number of people taking it up/down to/from the 4th floor :( We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel, the housekeeping service and the free WiFi.

In summary, a great location for this hotel, good value facilities for the price paid.

Room Tip: Try and get one on a lower floor if you do have a choice because then you could use the stairs!

The AirTrain is an excellent way to get from Newark to Penn Station (only 2 blocks away). You're a very savvy traveler.
I'm sorry to hear that you had a challenge with hot water during your stay. We believe that we've got things fixed now and under control. Our staff understands our guest expectations and is sincere when the unexpected occurs.
We're making plans to renovate our breakfast area and add seating this summer. However, it's nice to hear that our other guests were friendly. Food has a nice way of making people happy.
I hope that you wil visit us again and I hope that you will contact me when you do.

This is the ideal kind of hotel if you're very happy just getting on with things yourself. The staff are nice, friendly and helpful. There is minimal common area to speak of, but at least somewhere you can make your own tea and coffee. The bedroom has a lovely comfortable bed, the free wireless is great and for one the room was small but fine. Great location near Penn Station making it easy to get anywhere in New York. Overall, reasonable value and perfect for a one night stay for one.

We found this a perfectly acceptable hotel, reasonably priced, clean, and comfortable. Our room, on the ninth floor, seemed relatively large by New York standards, with ample room to move around even with a king bed. The jacuzzi tub opened both into the room and into the bathroom, which was a bit odd but not off-putting. The hotel is popular with travelers, judging by the conversations we overheard in the breakfast room and lobby. The breakfast room is too small for the number of guests lodged when we were there; the overflow space outside on the sidewalk helped a bit, although the morning was chilly. The 24-hour coffee/tea is a nice touch. The staff was warm and welcoming. The hotel is relatively close to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, the Empire State Building, the Javits Center, and the High Line. It's certainly a hotel worth considering, especially if one is trying to avoid paying the premium prices Manhattan hotels charge.

We're happy to hear that you found our room to be "relatively large by New York standards" and a good value. We try to give our guests a clean, safe and comfortable experience.
I apologize if you were surprised by the shower door that opens into the bedroom. I'm not sure if the designer had a full grasp on everyone's need for privacy. New York provides a lot of unexpected adventure occassionally.
We have plans to add table space and an enclosure of our patio this summer. So I hope that you will return to us again.

We stayed here from the 17th.-21st. April 2014, our room was on the 5th. floor, a decent sized room with a Jacuzzi bath. The hotel has free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and also 3 or 4 desk top computers with a printer. Breakfast is included and a good choice was on offer, tea and coffee are also available 24 hours a day free!! The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Penn station, which is only 30 or so minutes fro JFK airport.

This is a great hotel as it is central to all of the major attractions, like the Empire State, Rockefeller, Times Square and 5th. Avenue. All the staff are very courteous and professional, the hotel was fully booked on our visit but at night very quiet and we had good sleeps. Only down point is the breakfast area is a bit on the small side for the amount of guests, so you have a choice of waiting for a table or take a tray back to your room.
I would not hesitate to stay here again!!

I'm very to happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed yourselves. It's alway great to hear that our staff continues to be friendly and helpful. Our rooms, though pretty standard for NYC, can be considered to be on the small side, but your right when you say "adequate for the time you are in the room".
I hope that you will consider staying with us again.

It might be not the best looking building in Manhattan, but to us, this hotel was just perfect. We
Had a nice and quite big room with a tub on the 10th floor. It was clean, super central and...what a breakfast!! Rich, varied, simply delicious! This is absolutely a plus in NY, cos we just enjoy American breakfast so much and it let us skip lunch and have just dinner in the evening. Staff was helpful, altho we didn' y ry need anything as the service was great. We were able to leave our bags at the end of our stay for a whole day without extra charge! You xould also have warm tea and coffee all
Day long and water was also free
For refills, which makes you save some
Money on drinks.
I would definetely stay there again. The best we could ever find
